It’s Thursday so that means it’s time to play Tic Tac Toe!  I am so excited to be the designer for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  Of course my Tic Tac Toe Challenge is an abc board.  I hope you will pick 3 and play along! We have extended the contest until Tuesday at noon (CST) to enter. You do not need a blog to play along. Click HERE for all the details. Here’s this week’s challenge board.

TTTC004

I used all 9 elements on my project this week. Can you find them?

Stampin Up Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die gift card holder idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die to make a gift card holder. I embossed the bag using the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The DSP is from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. Happy Birthday is heat embossed using Dapper Denim Ink , VersaMark, and Clear Embossing Powder. (I love this shade of blue.) I colored the flowers using my blender pen and In Color Inks in Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist. I added a Perfect White Accent to my ribbon.

The mini treat bag is so easy to make using the dies.  Check out this short video to see how to put it together as well as some of the different projects you can make using these dies.

I love the versatility of these dies! Know what else I LOVE…the new 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Layered Leaves!!! You can create deep, dimensional embossed impressions so quick & easy.  It is a little different process to emboss because it is a thick folder. You need to spritz the paper first with water to get a deep impression.  Here’s a quick (3 min.) video explaining how it works and how to make your embossing “sandwich”.

I love the final results and can see using this embossing folder again and again.  It really adds a quick & easy WOW to any project!

I hope you will play along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. It is really easy and fun to do!  I had never done a challenge before the TTTC and couldn’t believe how easy it is to create by simply choosing the elements from the challenge board. I knew I wanted to use the In Colors so I pulled the In Color DSP and Dapper Denim (for blue) and decided that I liked Lemon Lime Twist with the blue. I decided to include “gift” from the board and I immediately thought of a gift card holder. All I had to do was choose a stamp set and cardstock and let the items dictate what I create.  It is a fun way to make something different.  I am amazed at how quick & easy it is to come up with an idea when you have the items right in front of you. I did not start out intending to use all 9 elements but it just came together once I started to create using the different elements in front of me. Give it a try! 1. Love that XOXO !!!! Your gift bag is so so cute ! The Mini Bag dies are so much fun and I love mine !
I also am a Dapper Denim fan !! I think it is a treat that you show how you can use all of the TICS and TOES (don`t forget TAC ) to make a card or whatever !
Love that EF ! It is on my list for July . I will thank you along w/ Susan for showing a great picture of the new EFs !
I am headed to the main TTT blog to look at All of the FUN !

  2. What a great picture!!! Jeanie, you really do have an eye for finding fun things! The XOXO is up there with the lighthouses! As for the gift card treat bag the recipient is going to LOVE it! I have so much to catch up on! I have the treat bag thinlits and need to USE them! I also have the Happy Birthday. You make it look so much better than I imagine!!!

    1. Thanks Ramsey! You have been missed! I love those treat bags…they are the perfect fit for a note card as well! I’m sure once you get started creating with it you will go crazy with ideas! You are so talented!!!

  3. Drat, it is not my birthday so the cute little gift card treat bag is not coming my way! I have made lots of the bags but I have never used the little die pieces. How silly is that? Even though I am still trying to warm up to the Lemon Lime Twist color – it looks pretty with the Dapper Denim and the embossing folder. I really like how you made the “pull” with the ribbons and embelishments. Great job as always!

    1. Thanks Chris! I thought the Lemon Lime Twist was going to be my least favorite In Color and it looks so striking with black and/or blue that I find myself using it more than the other In Colors! Who knew???

  4. You look so cute behind the xoxo sign….clever girl! I love your gift bag and how you used all the elements. Way to go Jeanie!

    1. Thanks Mary Ann! I did not start out with the intention to use all 9 elements. It is just so easy to do with some of these challenges. I never realized I would enjoy these challenges as much as I have. I had never done a challenge before Tic Tac Toe. Now I think I want to try some of the color and sketch challenges. It really is nice and easy when you know what you have to work with to create. Most of the time it”s coming up with the idea that takes so long…putting it together is easy!

  5. Thanks Brenda! I do love embossing folders and this one is my newest favorite. I love the deep impression and it works with just about any type of card!
