In Color Thank You Cards with a Sneak Peek at Tea Boutique

I enjoy making and sending thank you cards and gifts to my customers.  (Truth be told I am usually last minute getting these done.) I am having so much fun creating with the new In Colors! These bright cheery colors coordinate with the new 6×6 Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper (available May 3rd). Here’s today’s cards.

This is a quick & easy project to create. I love how it showcases the pretty patterned paper! I hope you’ll get out your favorite designer series paper and give this card design a try!

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:

  • Card Base – Basic White Note Card
  • Cardstock layer – 3 1/2 x 5
  • Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper – 3×3
  • Basic White & In Color cardstock – 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 to cut die

Here’s a closer look at each of the cards:

*HERE’S A QUICK TIP – I cut my DSP so I could get two cards and envelopes from each 6×6 sheet. First I cut my 6×6 piece in half to get 2 – 3 x 6 pieces. Then I cut one 3×6 piece in half to get 2 -3×3 card fronts. I cut the other 3×6 piece in half to get 2- 1 1/2 x 6 pieces for the envelope.  I added a 1/4″ strip of cardstock to the envelope first then added the DSP 1/4″ below that and trimmed to fit. No waste and a fun coordinated look!

Do you remember Highlights magazine? I loved doing the “Spot the Difference” page as a kid! Can you spot the difference in one of my cards today?  Leave a comment below and let me know what you think of the new In Colors and Tea Boutique DSP! (Be sure to check back to see my coordinating customer gifts for this month!)

I love reading your comments! Congratulations to Pat V….winner of the “Just Saying Hello” card featured HERE. Email me your address and I will put your card in the mail.

Celebrate Sunflowers for the Pals Blog Hop

Blog Hop July 2020

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team is showcasing “Gifts From the Garden.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers fun fold all occasion card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

The inspiration for my card today came from this garden photo I took many years ago.

img_6359

When my son was little we planted sunflowers.  All summer long he watched them grow and got so excited the taller they grew.  He couldn’t wait to get dressed, run outside, and stand beside the sunflowers to see how tall they were in comparison to himself. He would report daily and tell me it was as tall as his “boo boo”, up to his knees… on up until they were over his head. He is all grown up now and started a new job this week.

I chose Celebrate Sunflowers to make a card to congratulate my son. This bundle is one of My Favorite Things from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!  You can see all of My Favorite Things HERE.

My card features four of the new In Colors (Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee, and Just Jade). The double Z fun fold design was perfect to showcase this “growing” sunflower. If you look at the side view you can see how it got it’s name.Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers fun fold all occasion card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I love the different sentiments and fonts in this stamp set! They are versatile and work for thank you cards and many different celebrations…birthday, graduation, job promotion, etc. The sentiment I used inside was perfect for my growing sunflower!

Check back tomorrow to see another version of this card as well as all the details to make this fun fold! *See below for a complete list of the products I used.

Here’s a fun fact about sunflowers.

Stampin' Up! Pocketful of Happiness In Color note card / gift card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I knew I wanted to use the Pocket Dies.  The die makes the perfect pocket to slide in a gift card, cash, or in this case a check (to cover the cost of their shipping charges). The Pocketful of Happiness Stamp Set coordinates with the dies and is one of my absolute favorites from the annual catalog! I have used it for so many birthday and thank you cards. It has great sentiments I use all the time!

You can color the images with blends, markers, watercolor pencils, etc. I was inspired by Erica Cerwin’s tone on tone card and adapted it for my note cards. I loved making these cards using the different patterns in the 6 x 6 In Color DSP.

Stampin' Up! Pocketful of Happiness In Color note card / gift card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

These are really quick & easy to make! The DSP measures 3 x 4 1/2  and is adhered to a cardstock layer that is 1/8 larger. Stamp the pocket image in the same color ink as the cardstock and cut with the die.  Fold and burnish the score lines and add adhesive to the folded flaps (I recommend Tear & Tape or Liquid Glue). Add Wink of Stella to the dove and a couple pearls on the flowers. I used the Delightful Tag Topper to punch a 2 x 3 1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock to put in the pocket (along with the check). A simple knot with the Scalloped Linen Ribbon adds a nice touch and makes it easy to pull out the stamped note. Inside the card I stamped the pretty floral image at the top and added a sticky note to write a personal message.  That way they can remove the sticky note and reuse the card to send to someone else! Pretty clever don’t you think?!

These make great birthday cards if you want to give cash or a gift card! Stamp the birthday sentiment from the set and you are done! Who wouldn’t love a pocketful of happiness like that?! Here’s some of the other ones I made using more In Colors!

Stampin' Up! Pocketful of Happiness In Color note card / gift card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

How perfect is that floral image for the envelope?! Do you have a favorite In Color or DSP pattern? Leave me a comment and you could be the next winner in my 12 Days of Giveaways! The ladies at the post office are getting in on the fun as much as I am!  They want to know what’s in the envelopes I’m mailing out each day! They feel the envelopes and try to guess! LOL I’m lucky I live so close as I spend a lot of time there!!

Have a great day!
