A Vertizontal Fun Fold Pocket Card with Hobby Haven

Are you ready for a new Mystery Stampin’ Challenge this week? I hope so! Before I get to your first clue I want to share another version of the Vertizontal Fun Fold card. Here’s a look back at the Vertizontal Pocket Cards from a previous Mystery Stampin’ Challenge.

If you are wondering about the name of this fun fold, the “Vertizontal” Pocket Card (created by Robin Ambrecht) is a vertical square pocket card plus a horizontal layer. This pocket card design is perfect for giving gift cards (or cash) for any occasion.

One of the fun things about mystery stamping is there is no right or wrong way. It’s ok to “go rogue” and change it up a bit. I decided to create the Vertizontal Pocket Card using Designer Series Paper. The process works the same way and adds some 2-sided patterned fun!

I love how each of the 4 cards above use the same measurements and basic layout yet each one looks different. That is one of the many things I love about mystery stamping!!!

I would love to have you join me for this week’s Mystery Monday Stampin’! It’s really fun and easy. I give you step by step clues to create a fun fold card. (*This week’s fun fold card is new to me and it is so much fun!!!) The best part is you USE WHAT YOU HAVE to create a handmade card! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned stamper, this is a creative way to kick off your week with stamping fun. You do not need a specific stamp set or paper. You already have what you love, so use it! You will find the first clue (the supplies and measurements) for this week’s challenge below.

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies to be ready to play Mystery Monday Stampin’

Cardstock- 4 1/4 x 11, 2 @ 3/4 x 1
Designer Series Paper – 2 @ 1 3/4 x 4 (H),
extra for envelope (optional)
Basic White/Neutral Cardstock- 2 @ 1 1/4 x 4
Pieces for focal layer
Envelope
Ink
Stamps
Adhesive
Embellishments- ribbon, adhesive dots or gems/sequins (*optional)
Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder

Reasons I love HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDERS …

I added some Pearlized Enamel Effects in Real Red to the berries and gently folded some of the holly leaves to tuck in the sentiment layer. The stitched rectangle dies and more (including a joy word die) are included in the set.

This card can be horizontal or vertical depending on the orientation of your sentiment.

I used the coordinating Jolly Holly stamp set for both of the sentiments used on my cards. There are many choices to mix and match!

Vertizontal Pocket Cards with Brushed With Beauty & 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar…Free PDF

Did you play along with my Mystery Monday Stampin’? If you followed the clues you would have created a Vertizontal Pocket Card similar to these.

I’d like to give a shout out to Robin Armbrecht for this unique fun fold design! The “Vertizontal” Pocket Card is a vertical square pocket card plus a horizontal layer. This pocket card design is perfect for giving gift cards (or cash) for any occasion.

I created 2 birthday cards using some NEW ONLINE EXCLUSIVES.
Let’s take a closer look at each of today’s cards and new products.

Crumb Cake is not a color I find myself reaching for often; however, I love how it looks with this DSP.

I paired Crumb Cake for my vertical pocket with Very Vanilla for my inside horizontal layer.

You can add a gift card or cash in the pocket. I added another sentiment under the cash so when the recipient pulls that out there’s an unexpected surprise.

The “hidden” sentiment is from the Attention Shoppers Stamp Set (retired). “Shopping is always a good idea” and this pocket card makes a great gift!

There are lots of ways to change up the Vertizontal Pocket Card and make it just right for your specific needs. My second card features exclusive products from the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar.

The exclusive 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar box comes with a 24-piece stamp set and has 12 never-before-seen products including papers, embellishments, ephemera, tools, and more, all of which coordinate with one another. Each day brings an all-occasion, crafting goodie you won’t find anywhere else!

For today’s card I used the stamp set & coordinating dies, along with some of the DSP, Bakers Twine, & gems. Pictured below is just 1 set of the dies included in the box! (There’s also another set with postage dies!)

I love the sentiments and different fonts in this stamp set!

The 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper has some of my favorite colors and classic color combinations!!!!

I cut the DSP to 3 x 3 for the front of this card (so I can get the most out of it!).

I adhered some gems to the centers of the flowers and added some bakers twine under the die cut flower. The sentiment and flower image are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped another sentiment and flower inside my card. I love how these sentiments go together.

How cool is it that this DSP coordinates with my gift card?!
