I have a quick & easy fun fold pocket card for today’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

I chose elements on the diagonal: Gems, Free, VellumStampin' Up! All Aflutter and Berry Botanical Vellum all occasion card pocket card idea-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
This card features the All Aflutter Bundle and Berry Botanical Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used my stylus tool to create texture on the vellum. Simply use a circular motion on the backside of the vellum. It turns the area white and makes it pop on the front.

It’s kind of hard to see in the photo but you can see and feel it on the card.

I colored the butterfly with Blends and the NEW Hydrangea Hue Shimmer Brush. These brushes are so much fun to work with and I love the shimmer it adds! I added a little more shimmer by cutting the scalloped circle with the 2026–2028 In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper. I really love how this card turned out with the extra shimmer and texture! This fun fold makes it quick and easy to add your personal message and tuck inside.

Card base (Thick Basic White): 5 1/2 x 8 scored @ 1 1/4 & 4 1/4
Cardstock (Basic White): 5 1/4 x 4, scrap to die cut circle with Stylish Shapes Die
Cardstock ( Peaceful Pine): 5 3/8 x 4 1/8
Pearlized Specialty Paper (Peaceful Pine): 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 to cut Scalloped Blooms Die
Designer Series Paper (Berry Botanical Vellum): 1 3/4 x 5 3/8, 1 1/8 x 5 3/8
Tools/Embellishments: Scalloped BloomsDies, Stylish Shapes Dies, All Aflutter Punch, Hydrangea Hue Shimmer Brush, Peaceful Pine Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Take Your Pick or Simply Scored (Stylus)

I used the Scalloped Wishes Dies for my sentiment layer.

Card Supplies/Measurements:

Stamp Set shown: Tulips & Sunshine
Card base (Fresh Freesia): 8 1/2 x 7 scored at 3 1/2
Designer Series Paper (Berry Botanical Vellum): 3 x 8, 3 x 1 1/4
Basic Black: 3 1/8 x 8 1/8, 1 3/8 x 3
Tools/Embellishments: Scalloped Wishes Dies, 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies

It is really simple to create a custom envelope for this slimline card. I used vellum; however, you can easily substitute Designer Series Paper or Two-Tone Cardstock (which is a lighter weight).

Envelope:
Vellum DSP: 8 5/8 x 11
Score the short side at 2, 5 3/4
Score the long side at 1 1/4, 10
  • Remove the four corners with scissors by following the score lines as shown below.
  • *Optional- Round the corners using the Detailed Trio Punch (retired) or scissors.
  • Apply Tear * Tape Adhesive as shown. Fold left side in first then right side over, then bottom up. When ready to mail remove Tear & Tape from top and seal.

You can add an Avery mailing label to the front to address your envelope.

Embossing with The Eyelet Blooms Die for Tic Tac Toe #292

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

This week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge inspired me to try a new technique. I used the Eyelet Blooms Die to emboss my background. Here is the secret to this technique—Stampin’ Up!’s New Impression Plate.

Use the Impressions Plate with Impressions Dies for best cutting and embossing results. Adding this plate to your sandwich results in precise die-cut images and detailed embossing. *Directions for both embossing and die cutting are included with the Impressions Plate.

Adding the Impressions Plate to your “sandwich” before running it through your Die Cutting/Embossing Machine will take it from cutting through your paper to simply embossing it. Super simple, right? Here’s the order you’ll want to make your sandwich:

  • Base Plate #1 on the bottom
  • Clear Plate #2
  • Die  *Tip: Place the die with the cutting edge up
  • Cardstock (on top of die)
  • Impressions Plate
  • Plate #4 (Gray – used for 3D embossing) on top

It is so cool how it looks like it is quilted!

Today’s card is another one of my “go to” designs from my Just Stampin’ Sketchbook. You can create it with any embossing folder, patterned paper, circle punch (or die), stamped sentiment, and ribbon.
