Celebrate with Make a Medallion

I can’t believe I waited until the last day of Sale-A-Bration to ink up the Make a Medallion Stamp Set!  I had so much fun layering these stamps with different color combinations.  Because this is a photopolymer stamp set, it is so easy to get perfect placement with each layer.  I used the In Colors cardstock and ribbon with the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder… I love the debossed impression you get.  This card is really quick and easy to put together.  I started with a Whisper White card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/4 scored at 4 1/4.  I embossed my In Color layer which measures 4 x 5 1/4 and adhered that to the card base.  The stamped layer is a 2 7/8 square which is layered on a 3 x 3 piece of coordinating cardstock and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Here are my color combinations:

Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron

Dapper Denim and Bermuda Bay

Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry

Flirty Flamingo and Watermelon Wonder

Peekaboo Peach and Pumpkin Pie

Do you have a favorite color combination?  Check out this video from Stampin’ Up showing some different ways to layer with this stamp set.

As you can see from the video there are so many different ways to combine the stamps in this set! I didn’t even use the sentiments that fit nicely in the medallion! I like the way this stamp set looks with the Lovely Lace embossing folder which I used to decorate my envelopes.

  1. YOu are sooo darn funny….I am sure that you whipped these up while I was sleeping and I can just imagine you making more and more and saying – WHY DID I WAIT TO USE THIS……you are soooo funny and sooooo talented. Great post….you are the queen of making card sets!

  2. Great set of cards. I don’t think I have a favorite as they are all great. I bet you are one fast stamper too. I have a friend who just “goes to town” when we stamped together. We were at a stamp a stack type deal. She was all done and I was on #3 trying to decide how to change each one up a bit! I can not handle making a certain number of cards exactly the same. I guess that makes me unique and that is a nice way of putting it!

  3. Chris, there is no doubt you are unique…in the best possible way!!! I like to change it up too! As you can see I did the same layout but used different colors each time. I am always wondering what will it look like in if I use” this color, or that color”. Which is why I am addicted to stamping! LOL
