Pretty Perennials Slimline Birthday Card

This has been a busy week!  I can not believe it’s Friday already! I loved reading all your suggestions for monthly tutorials and I will certainly be using these ideas to create. There are so many great choices in the new Mini Catalog that there simply isn’t enough months to showcase them all!!!  This month I will be featuring the oh so pretty Pretty Perennials Bundle. It’s one of My Favorite Things from the new Mini Catalog.

This set had me at “happy”!  I love the font and all the different sentiments that work with it! For my card today I made a slimline card and custom envelope to coordinate.

I am totally on board with the new slimline craze!  I’ve made a few others which I shared previously which were sized to fit a business size #10 envelope. This one I made a little different to fit my sentiment and the look I wanted to create so I made my own custom envelope to match.

I had so much fun creating this envelope using the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (A FREE gift during Sale-A-Bration)! You can easily add a stick on Avery Label to the front of the envelope to address it to send through the mail.

The additional flower on the back is not necessary to close the envelope it but adds a nice touch don’t you think? I wanted it to coordinate with the die cut flowers on the front of the card.  Here’s a close up.

I created the inside of this card to be as pretty as the front!

The inside sentiment comes from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set. I added the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper on the inside so the sentiment wouldn’t look lost.

The tutorial for this card and custom slimline envelope is part of my exclusive monthly tutorials for February featuring the Pretty Perennials Bundle.  You’ll get 3 card tutorials, the custom envelope tutorial, and a fun 3D project tutorial I will be showcasing later. Check out my Just Stampin’ Rewards below to see how to get your hands on all these ideas!!

I’m looking forward to the Super Bowl this weekend, how about you? What team are you rooting for?

Have a great day! Stay safe! Stay well!

  1. I like the long, thin card for a change of pace. Super Bowl. Hmm? I don’t care a whole lot as neither Baltimore or Washington is represented, but I’m tending toward Tampa. Yes, Tom Brady will soon run out of fingers for all his rings but the others on his team haven’t had the luxury of a Bowl win. Many of the Chiefs had that luxury just last year.

  2. I like the slim line card although I have not tried it myself yet. I love the idea of using DSP inside to take up the white space. Looks very nice.

Super Bowl… I hope KC goes all the way…Have a nice weekend and stay safe.

  3. What a fun and pretty card. I need to make more of them. I have only made two of them at other demo’s sessions. We did not make our envelopes though. I just may have to CASE this soon before I use up my pack of paper!

    Kansas City gets my vote!

  4. I love this card, I haven’t really made but one or two slim line cards and I wasn’t impressed with them. Maybe I will give it another try!?!? Super Bowl, really doesn’t matter too much to me but I would like to see the Kansas City Chiefs win!

  5. I really like this slimline card! I have only made a couple of them and I wasn’t impressed with them. Maybe I should try again. As for the Super Bowl, it really doesn’t matter to me but I will probably root for the Kansas City Chiefs!
