Now that I’ve shared a variety of card ideas from A to Z how about a card swap? We haven’t had one in awhile so let’s showcase some of your favorite creations. I prefer you use current products (so we don’t disappoint anyone when they want to recreate your card but can’t get what you used) but it is not mandatory. I want you to have fun creating and participate in the swap! Mail your card to me along with a self-addressed stamped envelope by September 27th. (Don’t wait to create!!!) I will swap out the cards and send you a card someone else has shared. I will showcase all the cards on my blog. I am excited to see and share your creations! Who’s in?

Welcome to the Pals August, 2018 Blog Hop. We love to cut it out so this month our creations feature our favorite “cuts” using punches, Framelits and Thinlits from the current Stampin’ Up! catalog.
You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I have a fun fold to share with you today inspired by Dawn Griffith! I love fun folds and this one is quite simple and can be used for a variety of occasions!
Do you recognize the stamped floral image? It’s from the Make A Difference Stamp Set and it coordinates perfectly with the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper! I stamped it in Memento ink and colored it to match using the Stampin’ Blends.
It takes just a few quick cuts and this fun fold card is ready to assemble! Here’s the measurements:
Card Base (Crumb Cake): 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Layer 1 (Rich Razzleberry): 3 3/4 x 5 1/2
DSP Layer: 3 1/4 x 6 Score at 5 9/16
Whisper White Layer (inside piece): 3 1/4 x 5 1/2
2 1/4″ : Glimmer Paper
2″ : Punch from Layer 1 cardstock
1 3/4″ : Whisper White (for stamped layer)
Layering Circles Framelits:
Cut from Layer 1 cardstock with 2 3/8 straight & 2 3/4 Scallop
Cut from DSP with 2 3/8 straight
Fold the DSP layer along the score line and adhere to the back of the Rich Razzleberry layer before adhering the Rich Razzleberry layer to the card base. Adhere the Whisper White layer to the Rich Razzleberry so it is hidden under the DSP layer. Adhere the scallop circle piece to frame the circle cut from the DSP. Wrap ~12″ ribbon around the DSP layer and tie in a simple knot. Adhere the stamped layer to the cardstock and Glimmer layers and attach inside the opening using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s a peek at the inside of the card.
I love to make my envelopes coordinate.
You can easily change the Layering Shapes and sentiments for different occasions.

Welcome to my ABC “Sale-A-Bration” Series! This series showcases products from the 2018 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochures. Today’s cards are made using the distINKtive stamp set, Heartfelt Blooms. You can get this set for FREE during Sale-A-Bration (through March 31, 2018) with a qualifying purchase.
Heartfelt Blooms is a beautiful, photographic bouquet in a gorgeous vintage look. A one-step stunner for all your projects! The new Distinktive stamp lays down the ink at different opacities, giving the finished image more depth. I love that there are 3 great sentiments for different occasions. Here’s a close up of the stamped image.
When I make a card I usually stamp more than one. I like to play around with different color combos, sentiments, etc. I chose Night of Navy with Bermuda Bay and Fresh Fig with Blushing Bride. I can’t wait to make more! I also played around with adding pearls or not. I like it both ways so I guess it depends whether or not you want to add the extra postage. This is such a clean & simple card and quick & easy to make! You can use it for many different occasions!
Here’s the measurements:
Card Base 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.
Layer 1: 3 3/4 x 5
Whisper White Stamped Layer: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
I adhered the layered image to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love to stamp my envelopes to match. It really adds that extra special touch. Get in the habit of stamping your envelope when you stamp your card and it takes no time at all!
Check out this video for more information and ideas.
You can stamp in one color like I did or stamp in a neutral color and color in your favorite shades. Here’s another look at the samples from the video.
I wanted to use all 3 sentiments from this set so I made a sympathy card in Night of Navy and Crumb Cake with Gingham Ribbon.
Here’a another look at all three of my cards. Do you have a favorite? Pearls or not?
Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay color combination
Fresh Fig and Blushing Bride color combination
