Welcome to my ABC “Sale-A-Bration” Series! This series showcases products from the 2018 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochures. The Painted Love Gold Vinyl stickers found on page 19 in the Occasions catalog are easy to miss. They are hard to see in the catalog so here’s a photo in case you missed them too!
These self-adhesive hearts, borders, and shapes in brilliant gold coordinate with images in the Sure Do Love You Stamp Set; however, they can easily be used with any stamp set or stand on their own. I have several cards (and a treat box) to share with you today using these stickers with the Petal Passion and True Gentleman Suites.
The layout for this card was inspired by a card design from a fellow PAL, Nancy Gleason. I love using the ribbon to highlight the sentiment. Both the sentiment and flower are from the Petal Palette stamp set. I stamped the floral image in Black Memento ink and cut it out with the matching dies then fussy cut the flower apart to make it fit the card better. (I used the other piece from the flower on my next card.) I adhered the ribbon and sentiment banner on top of the vinyl sticker. I colored the flower with Stampin’ Blends and adhered it off to the side with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The base of my card is a Whisper White note card. The Powder Pink layer measures 4 5/8 x 3 1/8 and the Whisper White layer measures 4 1/2 x 3.
My niece is getting married this summer and this is the perfect size card for a gift card.
My next card uses a different vinyl sticker and another sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set. This sweet card could be used for several occasions (engagement, shower, new baby, anniversary, wedding, job promotion, etc.)
The flower image is the leftover piece from the card above. I embossed the card base with the Petal Pair Embossing folder and added my layered image on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Whisper White stamped layer measures 3 x 3 1/2 and is layered on a 3 1/4 x 3 3/4 piece of Calypso Coral. The flower is colored with Stampin’ Blends and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ribbon is adhered with a glue dot on top of the vinyl sticker. I added a matching sticker on the front of the envelope and embossed the flap.
The gold vinyl stickers are versatile to use so many different ways! They make it quick & easy to embellish cards and envelopes or add a special touch to a treat box.
I love these clear tiny treat boxes from Stampin’ Up! They make a quick & easy gift! I filled this one with 6 Ghirardelli chocolates, added a bow and a few vinyl stickers and I was done! You could put a little jar of jam, a Yankee votive candle, or any other small item inside.
Here’s a card idea I got from Linda Heller that I made for my son and husband for Valentine’s Day using the vinyl stickers and True Gentleman Designer Series Paper. (I don’t know why I didn’t share them before.)
Either of these cards could be used for an anniversary or anytime you want to let someone know you love them. The True Gentleman Designer Series Paper make these cards perfect for the men in your life. The sentiment I used on the inside is also from Petal Palette. I love the sentiments in this stamp set and from the comments on my blog last week many of you do too!!
I hope you enjoyed the different project ideas showcasing the versatility of the vinyl stickers. (I still have lots of stickers left to use!) Beautiful display of how to use these stickers! I never saw these in the catalog. It has been snowing here in NJ too so I am going to catch up on my stamping and do some “reading” in the catalog. Stay warm, Jeanie.
Great ideas, beautiful projects and cards
In all my trips through the catalog with your treasure hunt, I missed those vinyl stickers. You’ve showed them off perfectly though. Great ideas. TFS.
Beautiful use of those stickers (which I DID buy but used only once on a Valentines card). You’ve inspired me to put them to use on some Easter cards and a couple of upcoming birthday cards. I can always count on you to light my creative fires!
Stay warm and safe–I’m truly sorry you are getting more of winter’s determined punches, but I’m equally thrilled that this round is missing me! And I have been afraid that I’ll be driving to Hartford in a blizzard…yuck!
