V is for Vinyl Stickers

Welcome to my ABC “Sale-A-Bration” Series! This series showcases products from the 2018 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochures. The Painted Love Gold Vinyl stickers found on page 19 in the Occasions catalog are easy to miss.  They are hard to see in the catalog so here’s a photo in case you missed them too!

These self-adhesive hearts, borders, and shapes in brilliant gold coordinate with images in the Sure Do Love You Stamp Set; however, they can easily be used with any stamp set or stand on their own. I have several cards (and a treat box) to share with you today using these stickers with the Petal Passion and True Gentleman Suites.

Stampin Up Petal Palette Wedding Card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

The layout for this card was inspired by a card design from a fellow PAL, Nancy Gleason. I love using the ribbon to highlight the sentiment.  Both the sentiment and flower are from the Petal Palette stamp set.  I stamped the floral image in Black Memento ink and cut it out with the matching dies then fussy cut the flower apart to make it fit the card better. (I used the other piece from the flower on my next card.) I adhered the ribbon and sentiment banner on top of the vinyl sticker. I colored the flower with Stampin’ Blends and adhered it off to the side with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The base of my card is a Whisper White note card. The Powder Pink layer measures 4 5/8 x 3 1/8 and the Whisper White layer measures 4 1/2 x 3.

My niece is getting married this summer and this is the perfect size card for a gift card.

My next card uses a different vinyl sticker and another sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set. This sweet card could be used for several occasions (engagement, shower, new baby, anniversary, wedding, job promotion, etc.)

Stampin Up Petal Palette Wedding, Anniversary, or Baby Card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

The flower image is the leftover piece from the card above. I embossed the card base with the Petal Pair Embossing folder and added my layered image on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Whisper White stamped layer measures 3 x 3 1/2 and is layered on a 3 1/4 x 3 3/4 piece of Calypso Coral. The flower is colored with Stampin’ Blends and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The ribbon is adhered with a glue dot on top of the vinyl sticker.  I added a matching sticker on the front of the envelope and embossed the flap.

The gold vinyl stickers are versatile to use so many different ways! They make it quick & easy to embellish cards and envelopes or add a special touch to a treat box.

Stampin Up Clear Tiny Treat Box with Painted Love Gold Vinyl Stickers and Ghirardelli Chocolate - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I love these clear tiny treat boxes from Stampin’ Up! They make a quick & easy gift! I filled this one with 6 Ghirardelli chocolates, added a bow and a few vinyl stickers and I was done!  You could put a little jar of jam, a Yankee votive candle, or any other small item inside.

Here’s a card idea I got from Linda Heller that I made for my son and husband for Valentine’s Day using the vinyl stickers and True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.  (I don’t know why I didn’t share them before.)

Either of these cards could be used for an anniversary or anytime you want to let someone know you love them. The True Gentleman Designer Series Paper make these cards perfect for the men in your life.  The sentiment I used on the inside is also from Petal Palette.  I love the sentiments in this stamp set and from the comments on my blog last week many of you do too!!

From the Heart for the Pals Blog Hop

Jan. blog hop

Welcome to the Pals January 2018 Blog Hop. Our theme this month is “From the Heart” featuring heartfelt projects like Valentine’s Day, Thinking of You, Get Well and Sympathy. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

Stampin Up Sweet Soiree Valentine card idea - Jeanie Stark - StampinUp

Here’s a clean & simple card that’s quick & easy to make! I started with the heart patterned paper from the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the gold foil accents on one side of each of the designs in this paper pack. Check out all the other designs below! (Trust me, they are much more gorgeous in person!)

Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper

It’s so easy to coordinate colors when you start with patterned paper. Stampin’ Up! makes that easy for us as each paper pack has the coordinating colors on the package. My card base is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 Melon Mambo cardstock scored at 4 1/4 for a square card. I added a 1 1/2 x 4 1/4 strip of Gold Foil and used a scrap piece to cut out love from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. The DSP measures 3 x 3 and is layered on a 3 1/4 square piece of Rich Razzleberry. I used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits to cut the heart and adhered the sentiment on top. This is one of those cards that you can use for different occasions…simply add a sentiment or handwritten note inside for Valentine’s Day, Thinking of you, etc.! I used the envelope punch board to make a coordinating envelope.

Dapper Denim 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper

Welcome to my alphabet series, The ABC’s with DSP!  This month I am featuring projects showcasing Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Today’s designer series paper is from the 2016-2018 In Color DSP Paper Stack. You get 40 sheets of DSP in the paper stack: 4 each of 2 double-sided designs in 5 colors. Dapper Denim is one of my favorites!

Dapper Denim Designer Series Paper with Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set

I love how Dapper Denim works so well with many different colors.  Think of your favorite pair of jeans and how many different tops you can wear with them.  I could have kept playing with mixing different colors with Dapper Denim but I stopped at 4 (for now).  The colors I used are So Saffron, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, and Cherry Cobbler. I used the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set for each of the sentiments on my cards today. I just got this stamp set and couldn’t wait to ink it up!

img_5178
Designer Tin of Cards Stamp set with Dapper Denim DSP

I seem to be on a roll with different ways to cut a piece of 6 x 6 DSP to make cards. I like to challenge myself to use every piece.  For today’s cards I cut off a piece that measures 2 1/4 x 6 to use for the envelope flap.  I was left with a piece of 3 3/4 x 6.  I used a piece of 3 3/4 x 5 for the layer on my card front and was left with a piece of 1 x 3 3/4.  Can you guess what I did with the leftover piece?

I used Delicate White Doilies on top of the DSP for each card.  I stamped the sentiment in Dapper Denim ink then cut it out using the Layering Circles Thinlits. I popped this up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the card.  I used the Triple banner Punch to punch my strips of 1 x 5 1/2 cardstock. The heart is from the Regal Enamel Shapes.  I added the leftover strip of DSP on the inside of my card and then dressed up my envelope to match.

I love the richness of these 2 colors together! Here’s a look at the other cards I made using each of the different Dapper Denim DSP.

The flower on this card if from the Tree Builder Punch.  I added a Dapper Denim In Color enamel shape for the dot in the center of the flower.

Dapper Denim DSP and Sweet Sugarplum with Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set

The Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set comes has 33 photopolymer stamps in the set. Great sentiments to pair on the inside of the card as well as extra doodles to enhance your projects.  It coordinates with the Designer Tin of Cards Project Kit.  (I am holding a class locally to put this kit together later this month.)  I stamped the sprinkles and confetti on this card using Sweet Sugarplum ink. Here’s the inside sentiment and matching envelope.
