Marbled Elegance Heart Box for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #263

Welcome to the first Tic Tac Toe Challenge of 2025! This week’s challenge board has fun elements to create quick & easy projects!

I created a treat box using the elements across the top: hearts, designer paper, love sentiment.

This is a quick & easy project! I created the box then adhered the die cut hearts to the top and bottom of the box. The box holds 2 Hershey nuggets.
Here are the details:

Measurements:

• Melon Mambo Cardstock: 4 x 3 3/8 (box bottom), 4 1/16 x 3 7/16 (box top), 2 @ 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 to die cut 2 hearts, 1 @ 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 to die cut smaller heart
• DSP (Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper): 2 @ 1 x 3 (to wrap Hershey nuggets), 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 to die cut heart
• Gold Foil: 1 1/2 x 3 to die cut “love” from Paper Pumpkin Love of Spring Dies

Directions:

1. Score both box pieces at 1″ on all 4 sides. Cut and notch score lines as shown below.
   
2. Fold and burnish score lines. Use Tear & Tape (or strong adhesive) on tabs as shown. Tuck and adhere tabs inside to form box.
   
3. Start with the smaller/bottom of the box. Apply liquid glue to the bottom of the box then adhere to the die cut heart as shown below.
   
4. Wrap Hershey nuggets with DSP using Mini Glue Dots. Embellish with Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins and place inside the box.
   
5. Repeat step 2 to assemble box top same as bottom.
   Place top of box over the bottom box.
6. Layer DSP heart to cardstock heart.
7. Apply liquid glue to top of box and adhere layered heart on top.
   
8. Adhere smaller heart on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
9. Adhere word sentiment on top.
   

I love the Hearts of Elegance Dies and have been using them a lot lately! There’s so many different sizes to choose from for all your crafting needs!
