I find inspiration for cards everywhere! When my toes are in the sand, I’m in my happy place! I love the beach! I enjoy combing the shore for shells and sea glass (and an occasional shark’s tooth). Just smelling the salt air and listening to the waves relaxes me like nothing else. I can sit on the beach with a good book til the sun goes down. This picture in one of the shops on the Cape caught my eye. It provided the inspiration for today’s card.
Here’s the simple card I made using the So Many Shells stamp set.
I love this saying! It can be used for many different occasions. The So Many Shells stamp set has great sentiments and gorgeous fonts!
This card was quick & easy to make. I cut a square from a piece of 3 3/4 x 5 Sahara Sand cardstock using the Layering Squares Framelits. I used Sahara Sand ink to stamp the sentiment. I adhered the Sahara Sand layer to the Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals . I stamped the shell on Very Vanilla with VersaMark ink and added Dazzling Diamonds for a little glitz. I fussy cut the shell and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional. How simple is that?! Take a look around and see what inspiration you can find for your next card. Check back tomorrow to see a stepped up version of this card.
My vacation is almost over. I have had so much fun spending time with my son, family, and friends. It has been a busy month yet relaxing at the same time. When I travel I like to collect something from some of the places I visit. Can you guess what it is? Leave a comment with what you think I collect for a chance to win some blog candy. Check back tomorrow to find out (and see my stepped up version of today’s card.)

This is just beautiful. Love that you found such an easily translated inspirational piece to share. Can’t wait to see the stepped-up version although this is perfect as is! Enjoy your weekend.
This card is STUNNING and one of my favorites to date. Thank you so much for sharing and I cannot WAIT to make some of these….. I too love the beach more than anything. Hugs to you and thank you for all that you do!
I think you collect shells! I have bags of them! Thanks and very sweet card!
P.S. If I had to guess what you are collecting this summer, I would say shells, sea glass, and maybe a shark tooth or two?
Love it! So cool how you made the cut out square look like a shelf holding a shell. The colors are so soothing….just like the beach which I love to go to as well. Maybe you found a shark’s tooth on the beach along with some interesting sea glass. Enjoy your vacay! 🦈
You are a lady after my own heart. I love walking the beach collecting shells. While I have found many shells and some sea glass, I have never found any sharks’ teeth. I did find a paper nautilus egg casing however. Your card is lovely and so very peaceful. Thank you for sharing it.
Jacksonville Beach in Florida seems to have lots of shark’s teeth!
Wow! Fabulous card and fabulous set. I looked right by this one, not noticing the great sentiments. Gotta have it. As always, thanks for inspiring me. Just guessing, dish towels? That’s what I like to bring home from my travels. They are useful, and as I use them, I’m reminded, even in the dead of winter, of the lovely place I visited.
Love the Cape! I know you are enjoying the fresh, salty air.. This set is gorgeous and the sentiments are unique. I like to collect ornaments for my Christmas tree when I visit new places. Maybe you do too!
My guess would be sea glass…maybe shells and many pictures too!
Keep guessing!! No one has guessed correctly yet what I collect. I started this collection in 1985, the year I got married!
I visited the Outer Banks for the first time in May. After visiting Sanibel twice now, I am hooked on beach vacations! I love collecting shells and beach glass and have a glass collection from Lake Erie. My guess is what you sometimes collect is sand.
Wonderful version of the card!. Well, obviously not every place had a lighthouse for you to collect the lighthouse statues. A piece of art about the local area or a post card would be cheaper. Maybe a rock? I have no idea if you have a charm bracelet but that is always an idea. Otherwise, I have no real idea.
Pretty pretty card ! I love the font on these sentiments !!
I have not a clue as to what you are collecting . It seems everyone has come up with good choices .
Maybe empty sunscreen tubes ??
Jeanie this is stunning! I will be casing this ASAP. You inspire me daily.
What a cool card….simple but makes a fun statement. I think you like to collect sea shells!!!
Love the card. My guess is you collect spoons from your vacations or maybe sand from your beach vacations.
