A dear friend of mine just lost her mom (4 days shy of her 100th birthday). I’ve known my friend Lynne since we were in the 5th grade together. She was one of 8 kids and I have many happy memories in their home. It was always full of love, family, friends, and delicious homemade meals. I wanted to create a special card to celebrate the life of her beloved mom and the gorgeous Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper helped achieve just that!

I am in love with this paper! It coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle in the Mini Catalog. This was a must have bundle for me!

I love the simple bold sentiments and coordinating dies. No matter the occasion, somehow flowers just seem to fit! I cut my flower from the designer series paper for this card.

Measurements & Details

Thick Basic White Cardbase: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap to stamp sentiment
Favored Flowers DSP: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″, 1/2″ x 4 1/2″(envelope), die cut flower
Fresh Freesia: 5/8″ x 4 1/2″ strip (envelope)
Blackberry Bliss: 4 1/4″ square to cut flower die to adhere to DSP (optional)
Fresh Freesia Ribbon: 16″

Wrap the ribbon around the Basic White layer then pop it up with Dimensionals and adhere to the card base. I adhered the flower die cut to a card stock layer and popped it up with Dimensionals too. I stamped the sentiment from Seaside Bay in Blackberry Bliss ink. I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a Heart Pearl to the sentiment. That’s all there is to create this beautiful card!

Every Chapter for a Friend

I so appreciate the friends in my life! When I saw the Every Chapter stamp set I knew I had to have it! It’s perfect for my book club friends and others who just love to read like I do!

This card is quick & easy…just stamp and color! I love to color with my Stampin’ Blends! I find it so relaxing!

Here’s the simple card details:

Card Base (Poppy Parade): 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Basic White: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, cut 2
Basic Black:3 3/4 x 5, cut 2

Stamp the image using Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends (or watercolor pencils). Adhere to Basic Black cardstock. Use Foam Adhesive Sheets (or Stampin’ Dimensionals) to adhere to card base. Add Rhinestone Jewels to the eyeglasses for a little bling. I repeated the black and white layers on the inside and stamped the perfect sentiment from Positive Thoughts.

I love to coordinate the envelopes…it’s like a sneak peek at what’s inside. I stamped just the teacup and glasses on the front of the envelope.

This card would be perfect to give with a book (and handmade bookmark) for a friend’s birthday! I made this card as a thank you for a friend who gave me some books to read.

Dragonfly Garden Thank You Cards, New Tutorials, and More

It’s been a busy week getting my card kits and customer thank you cards & gifts in the mail! Last month I featured the Dragonfly Garden Bundle in my exclusive tutorials. I had so much fun creating fun projects with this bundle. Here’s a clean & simple thank you card I sent to my customers with their other goodies.

I used the Basic White note cards & envelopes with the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper and Dragonfly Garden Bundle. I chose to go with a monochromatic card using Misty Moonlight. Here’s a close up look at the 3 different designs.

I added a little bling with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the dragonfly.

I really like how these turned out. This clean & simple design made it quick & easy to create multiples!
