M is for a Fun Fold

Welcome to my ABC’s with Fun Folds series. Today’s fun fold makes the letter M.

BJ Peters shared this fun fold from Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage Convention and when you look at it from above it looks like the letter M.

OK so perhaps I am stretching it a little. Remember the book It Looked Like Spilt Milk? I was the kid who looked at the clouds for hours imagining different animals, letters, etc. in the shape of the clouds.

This is a quick and easy card to put together. The card base is 5 1/2 x 11 scored at 1 1/4, 4, and 6 3/4. I used several patterns of DSP from the new 2017 – 2019 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. Cut (2) 1 x 5 1/4 for the front fold, then cut 1 at 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 and 4 x 5 1/4. Adhere these to the card. Cut a piece of 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 Whisper White to stamp a sentiment. My sentiment is from a new stamp set, Ribbon of Courage (available June 1). I love the sentiments in this set! I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits to cut the dragonflies out of black cardstock. I love the contrast of black with the new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist.

This card was so quick & easy I decided to make another one using the Moroccan Designer Series Paper.

This one has a completely different look just by changing the DSP and making it horizontal rather than vertical. I think this one has a more masculine feel to it. The Moroccan Designer Series Paper I used on this one is retiring and is only available while supplies last.
