Welcome to my ABC “Sale-A-Bration” Series! This series showcases products from the 2018 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochures. Today is all about one of my new favorite Designer Series Paper (aka DSP), The Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can get this paper pack for FREE with a qualifying order. You get 12 sheets of 12 x 12 Spring-inspired paper with foil designs (3 each of 4 single-sided designs in Gold foil, Rose Gold foil. and Silver foil).
I have been enjoying some “coloring therapy” lately. I love my Stampin’ Blends and used them to color the beautiful designs on the DSP.
Both of these cards showcase simple layouts that you can use again and again with different DSP and sentiments.
The sentiment on this card from Butterfly Basics. It is so versatile and can be used for birthday, Easter, Mother’s Day, Get Well, etc. I like the Powder Pink with the Rose Gold foil. The DSP measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/2 and the layer is 1/8″more. I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut and layer my stamped sentiment. I colored the flower from the DSP using Old Olive and Pink Pirouette Blends. I fussy cut it out and adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. Clean & Simple!
My next card showcases the other two patterns from this DSP as well as my favorite dies from Sale-A-Bration, Celebrate You.
This is another clean & simple card design. It’s just 2 pieces of DSP ( 2 x 4) with a ribbon in the middle to cover the seam. (You could add a banner instead of the ribbon.) I love the Celebrate word die as it can be used for many different occasions. The silver foil die ties in with the foil in the DSP as well as the metallic ribbon. I added a couple of vellum punched leaves behind the sentiment.
I used the Pool Party Blends to color the leaves to tie in with the card base.
Here’s another version of this card. It could be for a wedding, shower, engagement, or anniversary. I added the die cut heart from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and a couple of metallic enamel hearts. Quick & easy!
Previously, I shared some cards I colored using the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper (another favorite of mine!). Click HERE to view.
Here’s a peek at all the new Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog.
It’s no secret that I love DSP! I actually did a whole alphabet series on DSP! Here are links to several posts I did that show how to cut 6 x 6 and 12 x 12 DSP to make the most use of your paper. *The first link takes you to my first alphabet series, ABC’s of Stampin’ (which is a great series for anyone new to stamping). It also shows how I organize my DSP.
D is for Designer Series Paper
O is for One Sheet Wonder with DSP
If you want to view the whole alphabet series with DSP, go to categories and click ABC’s with DSP. It will start with Z and go backwards. *If you want to start with A, go to archives and begin at October 3, 2016.

I just love your A B C series. They are so creative and informative. Your cards using Springtime Foils DSP and colored are beautiful. I especially like the leaves colored with pool party and the simple layouts. The metallic enamel hearts add a nice touch. I am casing these cards for sure!
So glad you are on the mend Jeanie. We missed you.
Thank you Kathy! I am in love with this paper and am working on my wish list for my next order so I can get another pack! The photos don’t do it justice!
Beautiful! These are perfect cards for that special occasion. Thanks Jeanie.
THanks Mary Ann! My niece just got engaged and the other is for a 95th milestone birthday. I think I am going to use the pretty pink one for my mom for Mother’s Day.
Oh, Enabler, so good to have you back!! Love the layouts of each card and the idea of coloring the foil DSP. Thanks for another inspiring alphabet series.

I am soooooo glad to be back!!! Trying to use my arm more so it won’t get all stiff on me! Feels so good to be creating again!
This dsp is gorgeous. I’m a bit of obsessed with foiled specialty dsp. I’m also really impressed with your coloring using Stampin’ Blends. All your cards are gorgeous.
These are so beautiful. I will be CASE then for Mother’s Day. I am new to card making, may I ask how you did the envelopes with the dsp flap?
Hi Debra! I love to decorate my envelopes to match! It is easy to cover the flap with DSP, Just cut your paper 2 1/4 x 6. Add adhesive to the back flap and adhere the DSP along the top of the flap. THen just trim with your paper snips. I know I have a photo tutorial on my blog somewhere. Here is a link to a post I did showing all different ways to decorate envelopes.
