Celebrate True Gentleman

My sister and I have been playing around with the new designer series paper and we agree that True Gentleman Designer Series Paper is a keeper! The classic patterns are perfect for masculine cards.  Here’s a simple “formula” card we made using a piece of DSP and cutting it in half to showcase the designs on both sides.

We had so much fun creating this card! The card base is Night of Navy 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. The Very Vanilla layer measures 5 1/4 x 4.  I cut a piece of 5 x 3 3/4 DSP in half and adhered both pieces to the Very Vanilla. We used the Night of Navy curdoroy ribbon to cover the seam across the middle and tied a simple knot. (I was going for the look of a bow tie.)

Another keeper is the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  You will be able to get the celebrate die (along with 2 more dies included in the set) for FREE with a $100 purchase starting January 3rd! *The dies coordinate with the Amazing You Stamp Set (another Sale-A-Bration freebie) but can also be used alone as you can see with this card. I cut and layered 3 sentiments together and adhered it to a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock then fussy cut around the letters. Celebrate is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside of the card showcases another die from the set and some leftover DSP.

This card can be for a birthday, job promotion, or other event to celebrate! Be sure to check out the True Gentleman Suite on pages 44 & 45 in the Occasions Catalog and the Celebrate You Thinlits on page 17 in the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  You are going to want to put both on your wish list! I get many requests for masculine card ideas. With the True Gentleman DSP and a simple card formula it will be quick & easy to create for the men in your life!

Here’s another look at the card with the coordinating envelope.

  1. Jeanie, you and your sister did a great job in creating a “very handsome” card indeed! This paper is definitely a winner along with the card. Enjoy your time with the sis and Happy New Year to all! 🕯🎉

  2. Great job Jeanie, I love this suite and your card is stunning. I’ll be honest the “masculine” stamp sets we’ve had previously didn’t really relate well to the men in my family. I can’t wait to use this one. I think the addition of $100.00 options adds extra excitement to Sale-a-Bration.

  3. Great example of using DSP as the focal point! And we needed masculine papers so glad to see this! TFS. Happy New Year!
