A is for Azure Afternoon

Welcome to my ABC Color Series! Stampin’ Up! offers so many great color choices!  I love to combine different colors and patterns and hope to inspire you with some fun color combinations throughout this series. Today’s project features Azure Afternoon. This vibrant blue color is a new addition the Stampin’ Up! Brights Collection. Here’s a look at how it compares with two other blues- Boho Blue (a 2023-2025 In Color) and Tahitian Tide (a 2022-2024 In Color):

For my project today, I combined Azure Afternoon with Copper Clay (a new 2023-2025 In Color). I love this vibrant blue and rich copper brown together!

I took my cue from the colors in the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper. I added some texture with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder as well as the textured ribbon. Here are the details to create this fun pocket card…
Measurements:

Card Base (Azure Afternoon): 4 1/4 x 11 scored @ 1 1/2 and 5 1/2
DSP Layers: 3×4, 1 x 3 3/4, 1 3/4″ Circle (Fresh As A Daisy), 1 1/4 x 4,  2 1/4 x 5 3/4 (Bright & Beautiful)
Cardstock: 4 x 5 1/4 (Copper Clay), 2″ Circle (Azure Afternoon), 3 3/4 x 5, scrap to die cut daisy (Basic White)

Directions:

1. Fold and burnish card base. Fold in half then fold the front flap down.
2. Emboss Bright & Beautiful DSP strips with Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
3. Adhere DSP layers.
4. Wrap ~ 15″ ribbon around card and secure on the left side with a bow. *This keeps the card closed.  No Adhesive necessary!
5. Stamp sentiment on Basic White and and adhere to Copper Clay cardstock. Insert in pocket.
6. Adhere punched circles and attach to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
7. Die cut daisy from Basic White and Azure Afternoon scraps. Adhere to punched circle with Stampin’ DImensionals.
8. Adhere embossed DSP to envelope flap.
