Embossing with The Eyelet Blooms Die for Tic Tac Toe #292

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge!
Here’s this week’s inspiration board.

I chose to go on the diagonal with embossing, Free, and Pink.

This week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge inspired me to try a new technique. I used the Eyelet Blooms Die to emboss my background. Here is the secret to this technique—Stampin’ Up!’s New Impression Plate.

Use the Impressions Plate with Impressions Dies for best cutting and embossing results. Adding this plate to your sandwich results in precise die-cut images and detailed embossing. *Directions for both embossing and die cutting are included with the Impressions Plate.

Adding the Impressions Plate to your “sandwich” before running it through your Die Cutting/Embossing Machine will take it from cutting through your paper to simply embossing it. Super simple, right? Here’s the order you’ll want to make your sandwich:

Base Plate #1 on the bottom
Clear Plate #2
Die *Tip: Place the die with the cutting edge up
Cardstock (on top of die)
Impressions Plate
Plate #4 (Gray – used for 3D embossing) on top

It is so cool how it looks like it is quilted!

Today’s card is another one of my “go to” designs from my Just Stampin’ Sketchbook. You can create it with any embossing folder, patterned paper, circle punch (or die), stamped sentiment, and ribbon. I used the 2 3/8 Circle Punch with the Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Barely Blush cardstock & ribbon (one of the NEW 2026-20228 In Colors). Stampin' Up! I’ve missed mystery stamping the past two weeks! I hope you are ready to join me for this week’s Mystery Monday Stampin’ Challenge! It’s really fun and easy. I give you step by step clues to create a fun fold card.
(Plus I send a FREE PDF to everyone who participates each week!!!)
The best part is you USE WHAT YOU HAVE to create a handmade card! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned stamper, this is a creative way to kick off your week with stamping fun. You do not need a specific stamp set or paper. You already have what you love, so use it! You will find the first clue (the supplies and measurements) for this week’s challenge below.

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies to be ready to play Mystery Monday Stampin’

Cardstock (Base) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Cardstock – 8 1/4 x 5 1/4, 3 3/4 x 4 1/4
Designer Series Paper – 2 @ 2 1/2 x 5 (H), 1 1/4 x 5 (H)
Basic White Cardstock- 3 x 4

A Vertizontal Fun Fold Pocket Card with Hobby Haven

Are you ready for a new Mystery Stampin’ Challenge this week? I hope so! Before I get to your first clue I want to share another version of the Vertizontal Fun Fold card. Here’s a look back at the Vertizontal Pocket Cards from a previous Mystery Stampin’ Challenge.

If you are wondering about the name of this fun fold, the “Vertizontal” Pocket Card (created by Robin Ambrecht) is a vertical square pocket card plus a horizontal layer. This pocket card design is perfect for giving gift cards (or cash) for any occasion.

One of the fun things about mystery stamping is there is no right or wrong way. It’s ok to “go rogue” and change it up a bit. I decided to create the Vertizontal Pocket Card using Designer Series Paper. The process works the same way and adds some 2-sided patterned fun!
