Rewind & Redo with Sunset Coast

I am on my way home after a wonderful family vacation and thought I would share another “rewind & redo” project with you as well as a few photos from our trip. I’ve been looking back at some of the past projects I’ve shared on my blog the last 10 years and redoing them with some of my favorite current products. The fun fold card below is one I created last December for my 12 Days of Christmas Kit. You can click on the image to view the original post.

West Chop Lighthouse is a private residence so we could not tour it! How cool would it be to live in a lighthouse?!!!!! Below is the view of it from the water I took the photo as we were leaving on the ferry.

Rewind & Redo Fun Fold with A Stitched Season

I’m celebrating 10 years of blogging this week and taking a look back at some of the previous projects I’ve created and redoing them with current products. I have a fun fold card to share with you today that I have made many (many) times!! It is so quick & easy and has unlimited possibilities. Here are two cards from the past that I created in 2023. You can click on the image to view the original posts with all the details and measurements.

Each card is a little different but the basic fold stays the same. Today’s version is another slight variation.

This card features another NEW Online Exclusive, A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper.

Christmas comes together beautifully with the A Stitched Season 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, featuring quilt-inspired patterns that feel cozy and classic. Festive designs like Christmas trees, cardinals, quilted stars, and coordinating motifs bring a handcrafted look to cards, scrapbook pages, and holiday paper crafting. It’s a lovely choice for creating seasonal projects that feel warm, nostalgic, and thoughtfully made.

This DSP is part of the Suite. I just bought the DSP, ribbon, and buttons (for now). I added the buttons to the quilt and adhered a simple knot from Baker’s Twine to the center of each.

I have several friends who are quilters and this DSP made me think of them. I chose the sentiment from All Aflutter. I think they will like this card!

Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! This week’s card has a lot of opportunity for you to add your own personal touch. FYI…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Feel free to “go rogue”- add layers, switch out DSP for embossing, etc. One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies!

Cardstock – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
Basic White- 8 x 5 1/4
Designer Series Paper – 4 x 5 1/4 (H), extra for envelope (*optional)
extra cardstock for focal piece
Shaped Die or Punch
Envelope
Stamps
Ink
Adhesive (*Liquid Glue recommended)
Ribbon/Embellishments of choice (optional)
Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
*Optional – coloring tools, embossing folder, Cut & Emboss Machine

CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 cardstock @ 4 1/4. Fold and burnish for a portrait style card.

CLUE #3
Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP to the front of the card. *Use a light layer of liquid glue to cover the entire piece.

CLUE #4
Punch or die cut a circle or other shape from the card front.

CLUE #5
Score the 8 x 5 1/4 white cardstock on the long side @ 4″ & 6″. Fold and burnish into a Z fold. Adhere inside the card with the Z fold opening on the right side.

CLUE #6
Close the card with the Z fold tucked inside. Apply Liquid Glue through the shaped opening to the right section of the Z fold inside. Attach the shaped die cut/punched piece through the window and press down to adhere. *When the card opens the shape should be adhered to the Z fold.

CLUE #7
Create a focal point/accent on the shaped piece.
Stamp/Punch/Die Cut sentiment and/or image.

CLUE #8
Stamp a greeting on the inside of the card.

CLUE #9
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments, etc.? Add that now.

CLUE #10
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
