Clean & Simple for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #14

This week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge is as easy as ABC! Check it out!

I bet you don’t need 3 chances to guess who designed this week’s challenge board! I love my ABC themes, even when it comes to Tic Tac Toe. I really hope you will play along this week! It’s so simple and fun to just pick 3 and create. I chose the left row going down: acetate, dimension, gold.

Stampin Up Stylized Birthday card idea using Fabulous Foil Acetate - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

Navy and gold are a classic color combination.  I love the font in the Stylized Birthday stamp! This single stamp is probably the most used stamp in my collection.  It works on the front of a card or the inside. I heat embossed it in gold on a 2 1/4 x 3 3/4 piece of cardstock and layered it on gold foil that’s 1/8″ larger. I adhered the sentiment layer to the acetate with dimensionals then used Fast Fuse to adhere the acetate to my card. I do not usually do it in this order; however, once you add the sentiment you can see where to put the adhesive on the back of the acetate so you don’t see it.

This clean & simple card can be adapted for so many different occasions. Just change the sentiment and you could make this a thank you card, wedding, thinking of you, etc. Here’s another one I made using Tranquil Tide cardstock and the Watercolor Christmas stamp set.

The star of these projects is the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. You get 6  12 x 12 sheets in a pack: 2 each of 3 single-sided designs.  The acetate sheets have gold foil on one side; silver foil on the other.

I wish you could see these in person…the acetate makes these cards so rich and elegant. And the best part is they are so simple and fun to make. (You know how I love to heat emboss!)  What color will you make?

  1. That gold foil and embossing sure make a wow statement! So going to CASE this!
(Which reminds me–are you doing your kits this month? I want in on them!)

    1. Yes Susan, I will be back offering my card buffet kits this month. Look for a post as soon as I get the paper shares finished and mailed. (One project at a time! I sent out the color swatch books last week.)

  2. Wowzers! Both of these cards are just drop dead gorgeous! Both are stunning and hard to pick but I do like the polka dots better than what I call the fish scale look. I guess they are actually scallops. Hey, scallops as in the kind you eat are fishy so I am not too far off. But, honestly both are fantastic cards.

  3. Hello! My wife and I randomly came across the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and saw some of your cards. We like the designs produced by the challenge, especially yours. Simple and elegant. Keep up the good work and happy holidays! 🙂 ~Chris

  4. OK, back again. I was just showing my mother-in-law these designs and she likes them. Do you or any of the other ladies from the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge have Etsy stores? If so, mind taking a moment to post the links? Happy Holidays!
