I love fruit! It’s right up there with my other favorites, ice cream and chocolate! I received this delicious Edible Arrangement from my coworkers.
Here’s my quick & simple thank you note using the Fresh Fruit Designer Series Paper.
I used a Whisper White Note Card…my favorite go to for thank you notes. The 1/2 doily was left on my desk from yesterday’s projects so I just adhered that on the left of the note card. The strawberry print DSP measures 2 1/4 x 5. I cut a 1/4″ strip of Garden Green cardstock and adhered that next to my DSP. I stamped the sentiment from Tin of Cards Stamp Set using Real Red Ink. I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and adhered it to a Real Red scallop circle cut from the Layering Circles Framelits. I “fussy cut” a strawberry from the DSP and attached it with a glue dot and popped up the sentiment layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I found a bag with strawberry wrapped candy at CVS and put those in a bowl in the teachers lounge along with the card.
Yesterday was my first day back to work. It was great to see my sweet students. They had all kinds of news and stories they couldn’t wait to share. Their smiling faces is the best medicine! I am thankful I only teach mornings…I came home and took a 3 hour nap! When my own kids were in school my motto was, “12-3 is All About Me!” I would try to get all my errands done before they got home from school and I turned in to “Taxi Mom”. Nowadays it feels like 12-3 is nap time for me! LOL
I really like how this note card turned out! You really get a lot of bang for your buck with the Stampin’ Up! Note Cards & Envelopes. You get 20 cards and envelopes for $6.00. That’s just 30 cents each! Think of all the smiles you could make happen with a simple “just because” card. I went out to dinner last night with some of my friends and we were discussing “Fat Tuesday” and Lent and tossing out ideas for what we could do during this time. It just occurred to me that one of the things I can do is share more handmade kindness. So, I am going to commit to send out 40 cards in 40 days. I think I will write my message on a sticky note and include an extra envelope so the recipient can choose to keep the card or “pay it forward” and send it to someone else. I can easily change out the sentiment on today’s card and even make the layered circles larger if needed. This is one of those “formula” cards I will use again and again with other DSP. Go give it a try!

Have a wonderful day!

YUM ! What a pretty gift ! I have this dsp and have been saving it for warmer weather cards . I think it is just beautiful and I love how you used yours . I agree about those great SU note cards ….love them ! Hope SU comes up with some in Very Vanilla in the next catty !
I am right there with you Sonny hoping for Very Vanilla note cards! I know I would use those more than our current Crumb Cake ones. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
I am so glad to hear you are back with your kids at school!!!! Gotta love those note cards! They make such cute cards and yours is perfect!
It feels good to be back. My students are so loving and bring smiles to my face!
What a nice thank you note for such a lovely edible gift. Love this “formula” card and will put it in my “try soon” folder. I, too, love the note cards. They are the perfect size for almost any kind of card. Glad to hear you are back in the classroom. I’m sure your students have missed you. Have a great day!
I like the sounds of a “try soon” folder. I may have to make one of those!!! My students are the sweetest! One little girl has told me several times over the past two days that she likes it when I’m here! Made me feel bad for having to be out but loved at the same time! One of the things I love best about 4 year olds is their honesty! They always say exactly what they are feeling.
So glad you are back to work, as I know you love it. What a fun and yummy gift. I will be CASEing this for sure. Sort of sweet and simple but oh so berry special of a thank you card. I love it!
Oh Chris, I always love and look forward to your play on words. I sometimes think, “What will Chris say about this one?” You are “berry” special for taking the time to comment!! Thank you for always making me smile! You have a special gift!!!
Be sure to put a blank sticky note over your written sticky note-I got a card recently & it was kind of the maker to put her note on a sticky but the ink transferred to the cardstock so if I use it again I’ll have to figure out a way to hide it.
Glad you’re doing better 🙂
Thank you for the reminder Andrea! That happened to me when I participated in a card swap…a lot of the cards had notes that ruined the inside of the card. Since then I make sure I use the Project Life pens (They are the best!!!!) and they do not bleed. FYI…even if you type a note, directions, etc., some ink from the computer can transfer to the the card as well. It is always good to either fold the note over or like you said, put something on top of the note to prevent this from happening. Thank you so much for sharing your tip!!! I love how we all share and learn from each other so all our love and effort that goes in to each card can be enjoyed!
That’s a beautiful project for Lent
I love this “formula” card–it could be any sentiment and i have so much DSP to use! Love the added touch of the doily there too. 40 cards in 40 days is a wonderful goal. You can do it!
Loving the 40 cards in 40 days! It will be a challenge, but one I’m going to attempt, one day at a time.
