Welcome to my alphabet series, The ABC’s with DSP! This month I am featuring projects showcasing Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Today’s designer series paper is from the 2016-2018 In Color DSP Paper Stack. You get 40 sheets of DSP in the paper stack: 4 each of 2 double-sided designs in 5 colors. Dapper Denim is one of my favorites!

I love how Dapper Denim works so well with many different colors. Think of your favorite pair of jeans and how many different tops you can wear with them. I could have kept playing with mixing different colors with Dapper Denim but I stopped at 4 (for now). The colors I used are So Saffron, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, and Cherry Cobbler. I used the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set for each of the sentiments on my cards today. I just got this stamp set and couldn’t wait to ink it up!

I seem to be on a roll with different ways to cut a piece of 6 x 6 DSP to make cards. I like to challenge myself to use every piece. For today’s cards I cut off a piece that measures 2 1/4 x 6 to use for the envelope flap. I was left with a piece of 3 3/4 x 6. I used a piece of 3 3/4 x 5 for the layer on my card front and was left with a piece of 1 x 3 3/4. Can you guess what I did with the leftover piece?
I used Delicate White Doilies on top of the DSP for each card. I stamped the sentiment in Dapper Denim ink then cut it out using the Layering Circles Thinlits. I popped this up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the card. I used the Triple banner Punch to punch my strips of 1 x 5 1/2 cardstock. The heart is from the Regal Enamel Shapes. I added the leftover strip of DSP on the inside of my card and then dressed up my envelope to match.

I love the richness of these 2 colors together! Here’s a look at the other cards I made using each of the different Dapper Denim DSP.

The flower on this card if from the Tree Builder Punch. I added a Dapper Denim In Color enamel shape for the dot in the center of the flower.

The Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set comes has 33 photopolymer stamps in the set. Great sentiments to pair on the inside of the card as well as extra doodles to enhance your projects. It coordinates with the Designer Tin of Cards Project Kit. (I am holding a class locally to put this kit together later this month.) I stamped the sprinkles and confetti on this card using Sweet Sugarplum ink. Here’s the inside sentiment and matching envelope.

Do you have a favorite color to use with Dapper Denim?
Previously I posted this thank you card using the Dapper Denim DSP. It is from a set of cards I made using the different colors from the In Color DSP Stack. You can click on the image to see the original post.

Jeanie
They all look so beautiful
Thank you! Now don’t you wish all your supplies weren’t in storage? LOL
Great cards, Jeanie! I think my favorite is the one with Cherry Cobbler – love that color combo!
I love the Cherry Cobbler with the Denim too! So rich looking!!!
You are so very clever Jeanie! Emerald Envy is my fave! I love blue and greens!!!
Now that’s a surprise! I thought for sure you would say Cherry Cobbler as that is your favorite color! I agree the Emerald Envy looks gorgeous with the Denim too! I really like blues and yellows too. Wonder why I didn’t use Daffodil Delight instead of So Saffron??? Especially for D. Duh! LOL
Great post. I love your creative ideas about the abc’s
That teacher in you is shining out. I like the emerald envy. That color pops.
I knew you would say Emerald Envy as blue and green are one of your favorite color combos! (Your business cards are a dead giveaway! LOL)
