Delayed flights and icy road conditions did not prevent our family reunion yesterday! My daughter made it home from college and I am looking forward to the next 3 weeks!! I made this card for her and chose the perfect sentiment. She is amazing and I am one proud mama! (She just completed her first semester at Georgia Tech with all A’s!)
Her favorite color is purple so I chose Elegant Eggplant for my card base and die cut flower. I used copper foil and copper embossing powder to coordinate the sentiment with the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the copper foil in the design.
This card went together quick. I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the die cut flower and word and popped the sentiment layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I did not need to make a matching envelope as this card was beside her bed when she got home.
Simple and elegant card for an amazing young lady

Dapper Denim 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper
Welcome to my alphabet series, The ABC’s with DSP! This month I am featuring projects showcasing Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Today’s designer series paper is from the 2016-2018 In Color DSP Paper Stack. You get 40 sheets of DSP in the paper stack: 4 each of 2 double-sided designs in 5 colors. Dapper Denim is one of my favorites!

I love how Dapper Denim works so well with many different colors. Think of your favorite pair of jeans and how many different tops you can wear with them. I could have kept playing with mixing different colors with Dapper Denim but I stopped at 4 (for now). The colors I used are So Saffron, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, and Cherry Cobbler. I used the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set for each of the sentiments on my cards today. I just got this stamp set and couldn’t wait to ink it up!

I seem to be on a roll with different ways to cut a piece of 6 x 6 DSP to make cards. I like to challenge myself to use every piece. For today’s cards I cut off a piece that measures 2 1/4 x 6 to use for the envelope flap. I was left with a piece of 3 3/4 x 6. I used a piece of 3 3/4 x 5 for the layer on my card front and was left with a piece of 1 x 3 3/4. Can you guess what I did with the leftover piece?

I used Delicate White Doilies on top of the DSP for each card. I stamped the sentiment in Dapper Denim ink then cut it out using the Layering Circles Thinlits. I popped this up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the card. I used the Triple banner Punch to punch my strips of 1 x 5 1/2 cardstock. The heart is from the Regal Enamel Shapes. I added the leftover strip of DSP on the inside of my card and then dressed up my envelope to match.

The flower on this card if from the Tree Builder Punch. I added a Dapper Denim In Color enamel shape for the dot in the center of the flower.

The Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set comes has 33 photopolymer stamps in the set. Great sentiments to pair on the inside of the card as well as extra doodles to enhance your projects. It coordinates with the Designer Tin of Cards Project Kit. (I am holding a class locally to put this kit together later this month.) I stamped the sprinkles and confetti on this card using Sweet Sugarplum ink. Here’s the inside sentiment and matching envelope.
