Welcome to my Sunday Showcase. Today’s cards were created by stamping friends who played along with my Mystery Monday Stampin’. (Many thanks to these ladies for sharing their creations!) These fun fold cards are so cool! It’s a classic Z fold card with a hidden flap.

This week’s mystery card is a fun fold that I recently discovered and haven’t posted on my blog. Sound mysterious??? Get ready to solve the mystery.

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies to be ready to play Mystery Monday Stampin’

Cardstock– 4 1/4” x 9 1/2” for card base
Cardstock (same color as card base) – 2 @ 2 1/8 x 3 1/4 , 2 @ 2 1/8 x 2 1/4
Designer Series Paper- *Cut landscape piece: 5 x 3 3/4, plus extra if decorating envelope
Basic White – 4 x 5 1/4 (for inside card), plus extra for sentiment
Ink
Stamps
Adhesive – Including Dimensionals
Embellishment- ribbon, adhesive dots or gems/sequins (*optional)
Envelope
Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder, scissors if needed to fussy cut
*Optional – die cut or punch for sentiment layer

Beautiful Thistle for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #201

Happy Thursday! Today is a big milestone for me….it’s my 1,000th blog post!!! For someone who considers herself “technology challenged” this is reason to celebrate! I couldn’t have done it without my amazing daughter who set up my blog and is always patient with me when I call for help. Leave a comment below for a chance to win some blog candy!

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge! Today’s card is a fun fold featuring the Beautiful Thistle Bundle.

I chose the bottom row: gems, watercolor, floral

Measurements

Card Base (Gorgeous Grape): 4 1/4 x 11
DSP Panels (Highland Heather from Subtles 6×6 Designer Series Paper Assortment): 2 1/8 x 4 3/8, Cut 2 @ 3/4 x 4
Basic White: Cut 2 @ 7/8 x 4 3/8 (emboss with crosshatch 3D Embossing folder), 4 x 4 1/4 for the back, scrap to stamp and fussy cut sentiment on front

I stamped the flowers on Shimmery White cardstock with Stazon Ink. I used Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape to watercolor the flowers. I love the Stampin’ Up! water painters! They make it so easy to watercolor. Add a few drops of ink refill inside the lid of the ink pads, mix with a water painter, and color. I cut the flowers out with the coordinating dies. The large flower is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front of my card. I adhered the smaller flower on the back of my card.

Cut It Out Fun Fold for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals August, 2018 Blog Hop. We love to cut it out so this month our creations feature our favorite “cuts” using punches, Framelits and Thinlits from the current Stampin’ Up! catalog.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I have a fun fold to share with you today inspired by Dawn Griffith! I love fun folds and this one is quite simple and can be used for a variety of occasions!

Do you recognize the stamped floral image? It’s from the Make A Difference Stamp Set and it coordinates perfectly with the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper! I stamped it in Memento ink and colored it to match using the Stampin’ Blends.

It takes just a few quick cuts and this fun fold card is ready to assemble! Here’s the measurements:

Card Base (Crumb Cake): 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Layer 1 (Rich Razzleberry): 3 3/4 x 5 1/2
DSP Layer: 3 1/4 x 6 Score at 5 9/16
Whisper White Layer (inside piece): 3 1/4 x 5 1/2

Circle Punches:
2 1/4″ : Glimmer Paper
2″ : Punch from Layer 1 cardstock
1 3/4″ : Whisper White (for stamped layer)

Layering Circles Framelits:
Cut from Layer 1 cardstock with 2 3/8 straight & 2 3/4 Scallop
Cut from DSP with 2 3/8 straight

Directions:
Fold the DSP layer along the score line and adhere to the back of the Rich Razzleberry layer before adhering the Rich Razzleberry layer to the card base. Adhere the Whisper White layer to the Rich Razzleberry so it is hidden under the DSP layer. Adhere the scallop circle piece to frame the circle cut from the DSP. Wrap ~12″ ribbon around the DSP layer and tie in a simple knot. Adhere the stamped layer to the cardstock and Glimmer layers and attach inside the opening using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Here’s a peek at the inside of the card.

I love to make my envelopes coordinate.

You can easily change the Layering Shapes and sentiments for different occasions.
