Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! This week’s card is new to me! I have seen several versions of these cards and it’s been on my list to create. This card will showcase both sides of your DSP so choose one that coordinates.

One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. There is a lot of versatility with this fun fold design. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues.

CLUE #2
Score the DSP. Place the 6 3/4″ side of the DSP along the top.  *The side you want to see on the front of your card should be facing down. Score vertically @ 2 3/4. Then turn and score horizontally at 2 3/4.

CLUE #3
Flip the DSP over. Take the top, left-hand corner and fold it over until it meets both 2 3/4 score lines. (*It will form a triangle when you match up along the score lines.) Once those score lines match up, press & score the DSP at an angle. Burnish all score lines in both directions with your bone folder.

CLUE #4
Flip the DSP over and “pinch” in the on the diagonal lines and collapse to close the corner. *The triangles formed by the diagonal score line will fold in and the 2 3/4 square corner folds down on top. Your DSP now measures 4 x 5 1/4 (with the 2 3/4″ corner that will pop up to open).

CLUE #5
Adhere the DSP to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cardstock layer.

CLUE #6
Create a sentiment/focal point for the front of the card.
Stamp/die cut/punch sentiment and/or image as desired.

CLUE #7
Adhere the focal layer on the front of the card, making sure to only add adhesive to the part that adheres to the 2 3/4″ corner section.

CLUE #8
Open the card from the focal point to expand the corner. Adhere 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 DSP to the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 cardstock layer then adhere to the 2 3/4″ square corner.

Stamp inside message/image on 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 white cardstock (or leave blank for handwritten message). Adhere to 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 cardstock layer and adhere inside card near the score lines at the top of the rectangle so it will be hidden when the card is closed. *Check placement before you adhere.

CLUE #9
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now.

CLUE #10
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.

*You will be creating a portrait style card.

CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 cardstock @ 3 1/4 and 6 1/2. Fold and burnish the 3 1/4 score line. Fold the 1″ score line back to crease then fold forward to lay flat.

CLUE #3
Adhere the 3 x 5 1/4 DSP to the card front. Adhere 3/4 x 5 1/4 DSP to the right panel. *You will see the panel piece on both the front and the inside of the card.

CLUE #4
Adhere the 3 x 5 1/4 white cardstock inside the card to the left of the 1″ score line.
*Optional: Adhere a second piece of 3 x 5 1/4 DSP on the inside of the card along the left.

CLUE #5
Create a sentiment/focal layer for the front of the card.
Stamp/die cut/punch sentiment and/or image as desired.

CLUE #6
Adhere the focal layer to the front of the card, making sure to only put adhesive on the right edge and adhere to the 1″ strip. *This acts as the closure for the card and also decorates the inside of the card when the card is open.

CLUE #7
Stamp inside message/image or leave blank for handwritten message.

CLUE #8
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now.

CLUE #9
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
