Rewind & Redo with the Floral Spray 3D Embossing Folder

I’m celebrating 10 years of blogging this week and taking a look back at some of the previous projects I’ve created and redoing them with current products. I created the card below for my 12 Days of Christmas Kit back in 2024. *You can click on the image to view the original post with all the details and measurements to create this style card.

I have loved embossing folders since I first started stamping! I’ve always said you get a big bang for your buck with these! They add so much texture and dimension. This card combines one of my favorite quick & easy fun folds with a simple embossed card front. I chose one of the 2026-2028 In Colors, Barely Blush, for my “redo” version.

A Festive Fun Fold for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #296

It’s time for a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Take a look at the fun challenge board Rosanne created this week.

I chose to go on the diagonal (Summer Colors, Die Cut, Layers) and create a double collar fun fold card.

I created this card for my friend, Marisa, who retired from teaching this year.

She had a fun themed retirement party so I wanted to create a card to coordinate. I thought it was appropriate to pull out the “retired” Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper for her card. The sentiment is from the Scalloped Wishes Stamp Set which I cut out with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! Are you are ready for a fun creative challenge? One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

Yesterday I shared your first clue. If you missed that post (with the list of supplies),Click HERE for Clue #1

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues:

CLUE #2
Score the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 cardstock @ 4 1/4. Fold and burnish.
*You will create a portrait style card.

CLUE #3
Adhere the 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 DSP down the middle of the 4 x 5 1/4 white cardstock mat.

CLUE #4
Adhere the 2 x 5 1/4 pieces of DSP to each end of the white cardstock. *Just add a thin layer of glue to the outside edges along the 5 1/4 side.

CLUE #5
Now comes the fun part! You will fold back the DSP on all 4 inside edges revealing the other side of the design. *Flaps will fold back at an angle from the center and form a triangle. Crease each with a bone folder.

CLUE #6
Add a Stampin’ Dimensional behind each of the 4 flaps.

CLUE #7
Stamp/Punch/Die Cut sentiment and/or image to create a focal piece. Adhere to the center of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. *Focal piece will cover the intersection of folds in the middle.

CLUE #8
Adhere this layer to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.

CLUE #9
Stamp message/image on the other 4 x 5 1/4 white cardstock and adhere inside the card.

CLUE #10
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now.

CLUE #11
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
