Welcome to my Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!
CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies! *You will create a landscape style card.
- Cardstock – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
- Basic White/Neutral Cardstock – 5 1/4 x 8
- Designer Series Paper (coordinating patterns)–3 3/4 x 3 3/4 (non directional), 4 x 5 1/4, extra for envelope (*optional)
- Accent/Sentiment piece
- Envelope
- Stamps
- Ink
- Adhesive
- Ribbon/Embellishments of choice (optional)
- Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
- *Optional – coloring tools, die cut/punch, Cut & Emboss Machine
CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/4 x 8 cardstock @ 4. Fold & burnish.
CLUE #3
Score the 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 DSP diagonally from point to point. Fold in half on the score line to make a triangle shape.
CLUE #4
Adhere half of the DSP triangle to the back of the 5 1/4 x 8 card. *The points should extend to each end of the card with a triangle flap hanging over.
CLUE #5
Fold up the card. *The fold should be on the bottom with the flap overlapping the front.
Adhere the card to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cardstock layer.
CLUE #6
Adhere the the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP to the front of the card.
CLUE #7
Create a focal image/sentiment accent. Attach to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals so that the point of the DSP flap tucks under the focal image and holds the card closed.
CLUE #8
Stamp a greeting/image inside the card.
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments, etc.? Add that now.
CLUE #9
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
