Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! This week’s fun fold card has two fun folds in one card! Double the fun!!!! One of the folds I/we have created before; however, there’s an added fun twist on the inside that is so cool!!!!

One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

Yesterday I shared your first clue. If you missed that post (with the list of supplies), Click HERE for Clue #1

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues.

CLUE #2
Score the 4 1/4 x 11 cardstock @ 4 1/4 and 5 1/2. Fold and burnish. You will be creating a landscape card measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 when folded.

CLUE #3
Add adhesive between the 4 1/4 and 5 1/2 score lines and adhere it down on the inside of the card. *This creates a book binding fold.
Adhere the 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 cardstock layer inside the card.

CLUE #4
Grab your 6 x 6 piece of DSP. *If your DSP has a directional pattern, put the “top” of the DSP in the trimmer so it’s horizontal/facing right. (If there is no pattern, you can start anywhere.)
Score the DSP in half at 3″.

CLUE #5
Rotate the DSP so the “top” is at the top. Line up at the 3″ mark and cut down to the 3″ horizontal score line. Then, without moving the DSP, score up from the bottom @ 3″ to the horizontal score line.

CLUE #6
Your 6×6 DSP is now divided in to 4 3×3 panels. Think of them as #1-4 with panel #1 being the top left, panel #2 is the top right, panel #3 is the bottom left, and panel #4 is the bottom right. *The slit is at the top between panel 1 & 2.

Adhere the 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 cardstock pieces to panels 1 & 4.

CLUE #7
Stamp “inside” message/image on the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 white cardstock pieces. (*You can leave one blank to sign or add personal message.)
Adhere these to the 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 cardstock layers on panels 1 & 4.
*Panel 4 is where you will sign your card.

CLUE #8
Fold panel #2 down on top of panel #4. Fold these panels (2 & 4)over on to Panel #3.. Fold panel #1 down on top of the other panels.

CLUE #9
Adhere folded DSP to the 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 cardstock layer on the inside of the card.

To view: lift up DSP panel on top, then open bottom panels to the right, and lift last flap up. *You will see panel 1 with message when you first lift/open. Panel 4 will be revealed last.

CLUE #10
Adhere the 1 x 4 DSP to the front of the card on the left side between the score lines. Adhere the 4 x 4 DSP to the card front.

CLUE #11
Create a focal piece for the front of your card.
Stamp/emboss/punch/die cut sentiment and/or image as desired.

CLUE #12
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now.

CLUE #13
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.

I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues.

CLUE #2
Score the 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 cardstock @ 4 1/4. Fold and burnish.

CLUE #3
Score the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card base @ 1 1/4, 2 1/2, & 5 1/2 on the 8 1/2 side. Fold and burnish the score lines accordion style with the shorter section in front.

CLUE #4
Adhere the two pieces of DSP to the front sections of the card base.

CLUE #5
Create a focal piece on the 3 1/4 x 4 white/neutral cardstock. Stamp/emboss/punch/die cut sentiment and/or image as desired. Adhere focal piece to the front of the folded 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 cardstock.

CLUE #6
The 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 panel is attached to the card base one side at a time. Apply Tear & Tape or other strong adhesive along the bottom on the inside.
Attach the front (with the focal piece) to the short/front panel of the accordion folded card. *You can center it on the card or adhere slightly to the left or right side.

CLUE #7
Turn the card over and adhere the back of the 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 card to the back panel of the folded accordion card.

CLUE #8
Stamp message on the 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 white/neutral cardstock. Adhere to either the back of the card or on the inside of the card.

CLUE #9
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now.

CLUE #10
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

I chose to go across the bottom with Neutral Colors, Interactive Element, and Frame. Here’s my card.

When the card is closed you can see the “slider” at the bottom. As you hold the slider band on the side you simply pull from the notch and your card pops up and reveals the sentiment on the inside.

I used the Fragrant Layers Dies to create the frame as the focal point of this beautiful sympathy card.

Measurements:
Card base (Crumb Cake): 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Cardstock (Crumb Cake): 2 3/4 x 1 1/2-score @ 1/2 & 2 1/4 (back pop-up mechanism), 5 1/2 x 1 1/2-score @ 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, & 2(front pop-up mechanism), 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 (pop-up layer), 9 1/2 x 1 1/2 – score @ 2 3/8 & 6 3/4 (slider wrap)
Cardstock (Very Vanilla): 3 2/4 x 3 1/4 (message), 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 (die cut with Fragrant Layers flower die), 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 – with 5 1/4 @ the top, score @ 1 1/2
Designer Series Paper (Brushed With Beauty): 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, 2 1/4 x 6 (envelope)

I was inspired by Connie Stewart and used the directions in her video (below) to assemble my card. *I changed some of the measurements to accommodate my card design (see above).
