A Fun Fold Farewell to Retiring In Colors with a Kit To Go!

I couldn’t resist one last nod to the 2020-2022 retiring In Colors. I love these bold colors! I will miss Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee the most.

It’s been awhile since I created a card kit to go! (I have heard from many of you that you miss them.) Now that I am all moved in and settled (with my dream craft room), I am looking forward to offering my kits again! Here’s a look at some fun fold cards using the 5 retiring In Colors.

There’s so many possibilities for adding the butterfly depending on whatever sentiment you use. I like the monochromatic look but you can mix and match if you want. You can also add stamped images (I used the Forever Blossoms stamp set on the Just Jade card) and/or color to the vellum (with blends, sponge daubers, or blending brushes).

I used the Brilliant Wings Dies to cut the butterflies and vellum. I love fun fold cards and created these so that you can use any stamp set you already have to add a sentiment. All you have to do it stamp and adhere! Everything you need to create is already cut, scored, and ready to assemble. Plus you can refer to the tutorials to create more on your own.

Here’s what you need to do to order the card kit and tutorial:

Email me (j.stark@goeaston.net) with “In Color card kit” in the subject line. *Make sure you include your mailing address! Then send payment through PayPal. PLEASE follow these steps exactly! (I will not be sending you an invoice.) Go to paypal.com, sign in or register for an account, click “Send” and fill in my email address (j.stark@goeaston.net). Click “next”, then “Send to a Friend,” fill in the amount ($20), and Continue. If you do not use PayPal, you may send me a check.

I will mail the kit to you and email the tutorial when your kit ships.

Stampin' Up! Flowers of Friendship Thank you note card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I enjoy making thank you cards and gifts to send to my customers! Stampin’ Up! Basic Note Cards & Envelopes are my go to for thank you cards. They are already cut and scored and ready for me to get creative. This simple layout design can be used for a variety of cards. Here’s the details:

Card Measurements:

Card base: Basic White Note Card (5 x 7 scored at 3 1/2)
Designer Series Paper (In Color 6 x 6): 1 1/2 x 5 strip
Basic White: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
Soft Succulent: 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

Directions:

Fold and burnish card base.
Adhere Designer Series Paper strip to card base.
Stamp floral image and sentiment in Black Memento ink on white cardstock piece. Color with Stampin’ Blends.
Adhere Basic White Cardstock to cardstock mat.
Adhere layer to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Basic Rhinestones.
Adhere leftover DSP strips to front of envelope.

I’m thrilled to be stamping again! I’m still unpacking and making progress getting my craft room organized but I just had to take time out to play with some stamps and ink! I grabbed the 2020-2022 In Colors and the Color & Contour Stamp Set to create these cards.

These cards measure 3 1/2 x 5. I used the Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes along with the 2020-2022 In Colors. Here’s the details:

Card Measurements:

Card base: 5 x 7 scored at 3 1/2
Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes: Cut 2 pieces 3 x 4 1/2 from note card
Designer Series Paper (In Color 6 x 6): 1 x 3, 2 x 6 (for envelope)

Directions:

Fold and burnish card base.
Cut both white pieces from note card (for front and inside of card).
Stamp sentiment and image in Black Memento ink on white cardstock piece.
Stamp flowers in coordinating In Color ink. Color leaves with Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends.
Adhere DSP strip along bottom of white cardstock. Wrap ribbon around Basic White and adhere on back. Add bow with Mini Glue Dot.
Adhere Basic White to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere inside piece and add stamped sentiment or handwritten note.
Adhere DSP to envelope flap and trim.
