Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! This week’s card has a lot of opportunity for you to add your own personal touch. FYI…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Feel free to “go rogue”- add layers, switch out DSP for embossing, etc. One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!
CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies!
- Cardstock – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
- Basic White- 8 x 5 1/4
- Designer Series Paper – 4 x 5 1/4 (H), extra for envelope (*optional)
- extra cardstock for focal piece
- Shaped Die or Punch
- Envelope
- Stamps
- Ink
- Adhesive (*Liquid Glue recommended)
- Ribbon/Embellishments of choice (optional)
- Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
- *Optional – coloring tools, embossing folder, Cut & Emboss Machine
CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 cardstock @ 4 1/4. Fold and burnish for a portrait style card.
CLUE #3
Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP to the front of the card. *Use a light layer of liquid glue to cover the entire piece.
CLUE #4
Punch or die cut a circle or other shape from the card front.
CLUE #5
Score the 8 x 5 1/4 white cardstock on the long side @ 4″ & 6″. Fold and burnish into a Z fold. Adhere inside the card with the Z fold opening on the right side.
CLUE #6
Close the card with the Z fold tucked inside. Apply Liquid Glue through the shaped opening to the right section of the Z fold inside. Attach the shaped die cut/punched piece through the window and press down to adhere. *When the card opens the shape should be adhered to the Z fold.
CLUE #7
Create a focal point/accent on the shaped piece.
Stamp/Punch/Die Cut sentiment and/or image.
CLUE #8
Stamp a greeting on the inside of the card.
CLUE #9
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments, etc.? Add that now.
CLUE #10
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
