Mystery Monday Stampin’

Let's create a handmade card together- visit www.juststampin.com for clues and all the details-Jeanie Stark Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! This week’s mystery card is one I have never showcased on my blog and is a “new to me” fun fold. It’s a quick & easy card you are going to want to create and one your friends and family will love to receive!

Before I get to today’s clues, I want to share another one of the Tucked Fun Fold cards I received last week from my friend Nancy Farrell that I forgot to include in yesterday’s showcase. Oops! (I knew I’d miss someone sooner or later and am a bit surprised it hadn’t happened before this week! LOL) I’ve updated yesterday’s post to include Nancy’s gorgeous Perennial Lavender card and want to share it here as well.

One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! I love seeing all the different versions each week! It’s amazing how the same card design can look so different. Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

Yesterday I shared your first clue. If you missed that post (with the list of supplies), Click HERE for Clue #1

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues:

CLUE #2
Score 11” x 4 1/4 ” cardstock along the long side @ 2 3/4, 5 1/2, & 8 1/4. Fold and burnish score lines into a W shape with the center in a “valley” fold.

CLUE #3
Adhere two of the designer series paper pieces to the two center sections on the front of the card.

CLUE #4
Score the 7 1/2 x 1 cardstock strip @ 1″, 3″, and 4 1/2″ for now. Fold the strip on the score lines with the center in a flat mountain fold.

CLUE #5
Adhere the 1″ end to the left side of the card base make sure it lines up with the 2 3/4″ score mark in the left panel.
(The strip will go across the middle of the card base.)

CLUE #6
Close the card (Fold the outside panels back.) Fold the right side of the strip over the edge to form your score line. Adhere this to the right side of the card base.

CLUE #7
Now you can add the outer two DSP layers to cover the ends of the strip.
*The strip will serve as a brace for your focal point.

CLUE #8
Create a focal point for the front of your card: Stamp/die cut/punch/cut image and/or sentiment, color/embellish/la however you want! Adhere to the center of the brace (the flat “mountain fold” section shown in the photo in Clue #4).

CLUE #9
Does the front of your card need anything else? Embellishments? A sentiment? Add that now.

CLUE #10
Stamp the 2 1/2 x 4 white pieces and adhere to the outer sections on the back of the card.

CLUE #11
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.

*This card folds flat and measures 5 1/2  x 4 1/4 when you fold the outside ends back. (The white layers on the back where you sign your card are hidden behind the flaps that fold back.) The card stands for display with the focal piece popping forward.

I can’t wait to see what you create! Take a photo of your card and send as an attachment to my email (j.stark@goeaston.net). Feel free to reach out if you need help or have questions.

Check back tomorrow to see my mystery cards revealed.

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh, Nancy’s card is so pretty. I so want to try my hand at making that really fun fold card. My sweet little bundle of terror, I mean joy, is making it so hard to do much of anything let alone a card! Puppies! I actually made a card for the head minister that performed the funeral for my FIL. I was addressing the envelope and Bernie struck as I turned my head…he shredded it. He had his eyes on the card but I grabbed it first. But, my roll of linen colored twine took the hit. Not only did he get most of it unrolled but left it a big slobbery tangled wad of yuck! Oh well, it isn’t like I don’t have another roll!

  2. I LOVE this card I’ve tried this several times. I’m having trouble with clue #5. Would
U b so kind as to send a picture of that
