Just Saying Hello with Flowering Fields

Happy New Year!!! I am really looking forward to a new year and a new start! The past 6 months have been a whirlwind and some stamping therapy is definitely in order! Here is a quick & easy card design that you can use anytime using patterned paper….

This versatile sentiment is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set. I made a bunch of these cards to have on hand. I love the new Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper in the January – June Mini Catalog (page 15) that debuted this week.

I used the front and back of 3 different patterns on today’s cards.  I stamped the sentiment on the muted side which coordinates with the beautiful floral prints. These cards were inspired by the card sketch below that my friend, Karen Hallam, shared.

Whenever I have a creative block I try using a card sketch and usually once I start creating the ideas begin to flow seeing the different possibilities. Here’s a look at each.

My fave is the first one, the Blackberry Bliss.
    Have a blessed day.

    1. I have missed stamping! I just substituted playing with fabric (instead of DSP) while working on decorating our new home. LOL

    1. Hi Jeanie, Happy New Year! They are all beautiful but my favorite is the blackberry bliss card.

  2. Hi Jeanie, I have been waiting patiently for your return. Hope this new year brings you health, happiness, peace and love. I can never pick favorites when you display multiples–BE REAL! They’re all gorgeous. Thanks for resuming your “job” as Inspirational Source. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Alphabet series, anyone???

    1. Thanks Linda! I was thinking it’s time for a new alphabet series myself! I just need to find where I packed my idea notebook. LOL

  7. Welcome back! I saw a card I’d made using one of your sketches this week and wondered if you’d be back! Love your take on the sketch…they’ll all pretty.

    1. Thanks Susan! This move took much longer than anticipated!!! I’ve had fun decorating our new (and final) home and finally have my craft room organized enough to get to the fun stuff!!!

  8. I Jeanie, so glad to see your post. The cards are fantastic! I have to vote for the pumpkin pie with the mango melody. I love yellow and orange tulips. Great sketch. Hoping you and your family had a wonderful holiday season, or at least the best you could. Hugs!!!

    1. Hi Chris! I thought of you when I first saw this DSP! I’m sure you will have a blast creating with it for the tulip festival! We had a wonderful holiday as both our kids were able to be here! Can’t ask for more than that!

I am a true purple lover!! But, I have to say that my favorite is the Poppy Parade! It’s so bright and vibrant.
It was a dreary, foggy day today and that card just parked me right up! I always enjoy your posts! Thank you for sharing! Here’s to a Happy and Healthy new year!
