A couple of weeks ago I posted about Stampin’ Up!’s MAKING A DIFFERENCE: COVID-19 PRODUCT GIVEBACK. (You can Click HERE to read all about it.) I purchased the Share Sunshine PDF Download and immediately my mind was racing with so many project ideas using the different sentiments (there’s 15 pages of sentiments)! One of the first things I wanted to make was badges for the nurses in our local nursing home. This pandemic has been difficult for so many and especially those that are alone and separated from their family and loved ones! I’m hoping these badges will make the residents smile when the nurses and other healthcare workers visit their rooms.
I purchased the badge holders from Amazon. I bought two different kinds so I’d have options for them to choose from. The first option is a clip on with a pin. I bought a box of 50 for under $12.
The badges below can clip or hang around the neck with a lanyard. These were a bit more expensive. I purchased a pack of 25.
This sentiment is perfect for anyone having to wear a face mask! I can think of so many essential workers to make these for in addition to nurses and other health care workers: mail carriers, grocery workers, hairdressers, workers at the drive-thru windows, and even my teacher friends when they return to the classroom in the fall. Wonderful! I spent my week in quarantine in the bathroom, couch, and bed with diarrhea. My doctor was overbooked so I saw someone else in the group. He was wonderful and I am sure he would love one of these. I bought this download but have not used it. After he had suited up he came out to our car opened the car door and wiped off the handle and then took me inside. Anyway, the doctor was so nice and caring. I can totally see him wearing this badge! He even gave me a couple masks to use later. I can think of a lot of people who could use one of these. I will be making a bunch of these. Thanks Jeanie. FYI, I had picked up a virus and not the Corona one. I am on the mend (I think) for now and not an appendix problem or gall bladder. Of course you will ::) ave to wear one when you give these out!
