Welcome to my 12 Days of Giveaways! It’s December! And that means crunch time when it comes to preparing for the holidays! This month I am featuring the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Pine Tree Punch. Believe me, when it comes to last minute projects, a punch gets it done (quick & easy)! This is one of my favorite bundles!

I have three different versions of a super quick fun fold Christmas card idea I made using this bundle.
I love fun fold cards and this “Impossible Fun Fold” is actually very easy to do and uses minimal supplies. (Great for when you need to make multiples!)
For the first card I stamped 2 of the tree stamps directly on the Whisper White cardstock piece using Shaded Spruce Ink. I stamped the third tree on Shaded Spruce cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. Then I punched it out with the coordinating Pine Tree Punch and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. You can add a sentiment and sign the card on the back.
For my second card I used the same tree stamp for all three trees. I stamped two and then heat embossed the one in the middle again. I punched out all three and added a few rhinestone embellishments to the trees on the side. I love the heat embossed sentiment as well as the ribbon and bell on this one!
I love this fun fold and because I like to send photo cards to my family every year I wanted to see how it looks with a wallet size photo.
*This is not my family photo (It’s actually one of my sisters with her family). I need to get our family photo printed so I can make these cards! I love how it turned out! I make a lot of cards every year and I will be able to make multiples of these fast! You can make 4 of these card bases from 1 sheet of cardstock! I can also decorate 2 cards from each 6 x 6 piece of DSP. With 48 sheets in the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper I’ll have plenty for all my Christmas cards!

Thank you so much for posting your beautiful cards! You are truly inspiring! I prefer punches for my classes because it’s easier for the beginner stamper!
I prefer punches because “any age” can use them. My granddaughters enjoy using mine for sure!
Yes, punches for classes [especially classes with kids!!] but I love the intricacy of dies for myself, and the added details possible like the stitching. And for my money, NOBODY does them as well as SU.
I love the plaid DSP, which seems to go with everything this year. Your cards are beautiful. It’s a clever way to send the family photo. Enjoy our day.
Again, I can’t pick just one card from the impossible fold ones. I love them all and appreciate the ideas. I like punches for the ease of use but the dies are so pretty and make it easier to cut out more detailed patterns. I definitely have more dies than punches! Haha!
I have to say I prefer punches. They are quick and easy to use and I don’t have to lug out the Big Shot!
they each have a purpose…if making singles cards I prefer punches..but multiples I like dies.
I actually prefer dies because with my limited craft space I can have more dies! If that were not the case, I’d not have such a big preference.
Dear Jeanie, I have been looking for the “Perfectly Plaid” Bundle. I would love to be able to purchase it from you if any are still available. I have to be very honest with you; I do have a local SU demonstrator that I work with. So, what I’m looking for is just the “Plaid Bundle”. What are my chances?? I am 77 and have been stamping for probably about 35 to 40 years. I don’t know how I missed out on that set…..but it happened. I hope you will be able to help me. I don’t get out too much any more and find great joy in paper crafting. I have enjoyed looking at the samples of the set that you have created. Looking forward to hearing from you…Marti Tertinek
Hi Marti! Unfortunately the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and tree punch are retired and no longer available to purchase from Stampin’ Up! I agree it is a great bundle! I suggest checking on ebay. Good Luck!
