Mother Goose Punch Art

My husband asked me to buy a baby shower gift and make a card for a coworker. Hmmm…shopping and stamping time for me…that’s a Win! Win!  The teacher in me likes to give books for baby gifts but when I found an adorable Mother Goose that sings nursery rhymes I bought it.  I love to make my gifts and cards coordinate so I pulled out my punches and started playing to make a goose.  This is the card I made.

I used the Bird Builder and Fox Builder Punches to make my goose.  The bonnet was made with the 1″ circle punch and then I freehand cut the brim.  I used Glue Dots to attach the pieces together and then used the Project Life pen to make the eye.   I heat embossed the sentiment from B.Y.O.P. with white embossing powder and added some white organza ribbon around the card and tied a bow. Simple and sweet!

Here’s the inspiration for my card.

The mom-to-be knows she’s having a baby girl so I used Pink Pirouette card stock and coordinating Designer Series Paper from the Subtles Paper Stack for the layered panel and matching envelope.

  1. Jeanie, you totally nailed that goose! This is such a sweet card and a wonderful gift. I’m sure your husband is very proud of the “job” (after all, you did work/play very hard on this) you did on this gift. Thanks for making me smile on this cold Monday morning!

    1. I am lucky my husband is so supportive of my creative time. He does appreciate it when he reaps the benefits of my work. 🙂 It’s cold here too!!! Good time of year to stay inside and stamp! (I say the same thing when it’s hot! LOL)
