I’m excited to share another beautiful card from my Fun Fold Card Swap! You are in for a treat as I share each of these cool fun folds. Today’s adorable fun fold comes from Chris R. Oh how I love this little piggy and the way the sentiment peeks through on this fun fold. Chris did such a great job watercoloring him (or her?? I feel certain Chris has a name for each of these little cuties!) This Little Piggy stamp set is one of my favorite new sets in the annual catalog.

The real surprise (and huge smile) is when you open this card…

I laughed out loud when I opened it and read the inside sentiment. Chris didn’t choose one of the sentiments in the stamp set but this one goes perfectly with This Little Piggy!

Stampin’ Up! is so on trend with their Little Piggy images. I went sailing with my son the other day in Newport, R. I. It was the perfect day to be on the water and we had such a good time! Afterwards we walked around the local shops and I saw these in the window of an art gallery…

Fun Fold Swap Card from Linda

Linda made a Corner Fold card showcasing the gorgeous Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. Often I find I like the pattern on one side or the other but, with this pack, I love them all!!!

When I first opened Linda’s swap card I thought, “WOW! I wish I could keep this.” Then it was like my wish was magically granted as enclosed was another card…one for me! I have not made this fun fold before so I love having an example (not to mention a beautiful and sweet card). I have to say I am overwhelmed and touched by all the kindness, inspiration, helpful tips, etc. that so many of you that follow my blog have shown me and each other. To quote Mary Ann (from yesterday’s comments), “I love our blog family!”

I love everything about this card…the cool fun fold, the color combination, the sentiment, the font, and how Linda added the extra detail on the inside piece of the fold. Now I just need to learn how to make it so I can share all the details with you!

Here’s the card Linda sent me. It shows another example of the corner fold with a horizontal orientation this time. Linda used 2 more patterns from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP. It certainly is lovely!

Here’s a picture showing how the fold looks on the inside.

I love how Linda used the die from Lovely Words Thinlits to make the inside sentiment layer! I will definitely be CASing this one!!!

The Lovely Words Thinlits has 3 dies in the set. There are a variety of ways to use them. Linda has shown two different ways on her cards… cutting the word out from the shape like she did on the front of her swap card and cutting the die to use as an inside panel like she did on my card. The dies coordinate with the Layering Ovals and Layering Circles Framelits for even more versatility.

My ABC Fun Folds from P-T

This past week has been a series of unfortunate events from my computer crashing to a trip to the ER with a head injury. On the upside, I am happy to report my new computer should be up and running later today and I am lucky to have a “thick skull”! I apologize for not posting the last of the fun folds yet; however, I hope to be back later today with a new fun fold card to share. Until then here’s some more of the fun fold designs I did in my ABC series. I have already received some cards in the mail for the fun fold card swap and let me say my first thought has been, “I wish I could keep these!” There is still time to participate so I hope you will create a fun fold card and get it in the mail this week. Click HERE for all the details. If you have never made a fun fold card before you need to give it a try! They are a lot easier than they look! I include simple step by step directions for each one. If you have any questions feel free to email me. I am really looking forward to seeing what you create and showcasing your fun fold cards.
