WOW! I think Stampin’ Up! hit it out of the park with these! I love die cut words and you can mix and match these to create so many different sentiments. I used both the stamp set and dies for my sentiment and love the versatility you can get with these. I colored the flower with Stampin’ Blends. I love the striking combination of Bermuda Bay and Black together. This card has lots of layers! Here’s the measurements:

Card Base- Bermuda Bay 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 – Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Layer 2 – Petal Passion DSP 5 1/8 x 3 7/8

Layer 3 – Bermuda Bay 2 3/4 x 4 1/2

Layer 4 – Whisper White (with stamped flower) 2 1/2 x 4 1/4

Layer 5 – Bermuda Bay 2 x 3 3/4

Layer 6 – Whisper White (with sentiment) 1 3/4 x 3 1/2

I stamped the flower a second time on a scrap piece of cardstock, colored it, cut it out, and layered it on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added Wink of Stella to the center of the flower and finished it off with some Rhinestones and a bow.

This stamp set and dies have been so popular and I can see why! It’s quick & easy to combine elements and create an “amazing” card!

Amazing You SAB

These cards showcase 3 different techniques. I love the way they used the negative of the die on the first card! The card in the middle uses a repeated die in the same color as the background. The card on the right has a cool collage focal point. Give one of these techniques a try!

Stampin Up So Many Shells Thank You Friend card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

Get ready to play Tic Tac Toe because this week’s board by Corinne Blake is one of my favorites with simple and fun choices!!!

I used all 9 elements on my card which made tic tac toe all 8 ways!!

It is so much fun and easy to create when you pick 3 in a row and play! Each week I gather the different elements from the board so they are in front of me. This week I started by grabbing my circle framelits and black cardstock then looked through my swatch books for DSP with black and/or stripes. (I found both!) The floral design from Whole Lot of Lovely certainly checked off the box for “vibrant”. Then I chose a color from the DSP to use for my “layer” and “ribbon”. I knew it would be easy to add a heat embossed thank you sentiment for a friend and by cutting it out with a circle die that checked off 5 elements…circle, black, thank you, friend, heat embossed. How easy is that?!!! Trust me, having the items in front of you will get those creative juices flowing…you will see things that go together. Just start creating! All I had left to do was a simple layout to put it all together. (*I keep sketches of simple layouts as well as cards I’ve made or received with layouts I like to use as inspiration for future designs. This layout is clean & simple and could easily be used with many different papers and take on a totally different look and feel. I know I will be using it again!) Just Peachy!

It seems my weekend was all about food…a crab fest, cupcakes, and peaches! Yesterday my daughter and I went to the annual Peach Festival in town. There’s nothing like fresh fruit when it’s in season…sweet and delicious!

Today’s card is just peachy! I made it for a friend who could use a little pick me up. I thought I’d drop it off with some fresh peaches to brighten her day.

The DSP is from a Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and it’s just as sweet as those peaches!

DSP Whole Lot of Lovely

This is another one of those “formula” cards that’s quick & easy to put together. I cut my card base 4 1/4 x 11 and scored it at 5 1/2. The DSP layer measures 3 1/2 x 5 with a mat that’s just 1/8 larger at 3 5/8 x 5 1/8. I like the way the ribbon looks like it is “hugging” the card. (At least that’s what I imagined and wanted to convey!) The sentiment is cut from the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies. I have used the dies in this set a lot and find they are very versatile. I love that I can snip them out (like I did on this card) or just die cut the shape and layer it with paper behind it.

My card wouldn’t be complete without an envelope to coordinate.

I goes great with the basket of peaches. You can really see how realistic the Designer Series Paper looks!

I also needed a thank you card so while I had my paper out I just cut for two! (I do that a lot!) I changed it up a bit and used Peekaboo Peach cardstock and ribbon instead of Tranquil Tide. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Layering Squares Framelits to layer the sentiment.

I’m glad I came home with a lot of peaches yesterday because I seem to be giving them away faster than I can make peach cobbler! Here’s both cards side by side. Do you have a preference?
