Happy Thursday! Today is the first Tic Tac Toe Challenge of the new year and I am honored to be the designer this week. Here’s the challenge board I created.

I used all nine elements on my project this week.
Stampin' Up! Be My Valentine bag with Bee Mine Designer Series Paper-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I love to make cards and 3D projects to coordinate with gifts I give. This “Bee-utiful” bag will hold the little bee hand puppet I am giving to a sweet little 2 year old who definitely “makes my heart buzz”.
Stampin' Up! Be My Valentine Bundle and Tailor Made Tags with Bee Mine Designer Series Paper gift idea-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
The sentiment and bee are from the Be My Valentine Bundle. I love it when a stamp set comes with a coordinating punch! The Bee My Valentine Stamp Set is un-bee-lievably cute and versatile! You can stamp the bees in different colors and in any direction, as the body is completely symmetrical. No matter how you use this bundle, your crafts will have their own buzz around them!

This project is simple to make and I have some tips to share with you for using the Bee Builder Punch.  First, let’s take a closer look at this adorable Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! called Bee Mine.

Stampin' Up! Bee Mine Designer Series Paper-visit juststampin.com for inspiration and ordering information-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Product colors: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Sweet Sorbet

This paper is full of bright colors and pastel patterns to help you celebrate all of your occasions centered around love. Each page offers new possibilities. You can fussy cut the individual bees, die cut the striped and gingham paper, or use the jars of honey paper for a unique card base. Mix and match the color palette to create something special for each recipient. Every craft is simply meant to bee! You can easily use the patterned paper past Valentine’s Day as each sheet is double-sided and there are some beautiful flower designs to welcome spring.

Here are the details to create the gift bag. *Thanks to Sam Donald (aka Pootles) who provided the measurements for the bag.

  1. Start with a piece of 12 x 12 DSP. *Make sure the pattern is facing the right direction.
  2. Score on the first side at 2″, 5 3/4″, 7 3/4″, 11 1/2″
  3. Turn and score on the other side at 2″. *The 2″ score line will be the bottom of your bag.
  4. Fold on score lines. Then cut the score lines along the bottom of the bag just up to the 2″ score line.

  5. Remove the 1/2″ rectangle at the bottom and miter the end.
  6. Add Tear & Tape along the 1/2″ end and fold over to adhere.
  7. Fold in the side flaps, fold down the top flap and add Tear & Tape along the bottom flap. Fold bottom flap up to adhere.

  8. Use the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut two tags. Cut the larger tag using DSP and another in Basic White.
  9. Stamp sentiment and hearts on tag. Embellish with Adhesive-backed Hearts. Adhere tags askew with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Thread tag through ribbon then wrap ribbon around bag and tie a bow in front. Punch hearts from Sweet Sorbet cardstock using Bee Builder Punch and adhere to ends of ribbon with Mini Glue Dots.
  11. Stamp and punch bee and add to tag with Stampin’ Dimensional.

*Bee Builder Punch Tip
Use the Bee Builder Punch to punch a template. Lay the template on top of the white cardstock you are going to stamp. Stamp inside the template. Then punch all the pieces at once. Viola!

Ombre Gift Bags for the Pals Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “2021-2023 New In-Colors.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. Then, at the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.Stampin' Up! Flowers of Friendship Ombre Gift Bag ideas using the 2021-2023 In Colors and Scalloped Contour Dies - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I love the gorgeous new Ombre Gift Bags which come in each of the new 2021-2023 In Colors! You can use these for treat or gift bags. I decorated my bags using the Scalloped Contour Dies and Flowers of Friendship Bundle.Stampin' Up! Flowers of Friendship Bundle -visit juststampin.com for inspiration and ordering information - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
The Flowers of Friendship Bundle includes the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set and the Flowers & Leaves Punch. The flower imagery of the set mixes simplicity and elegance. It’s perfect for different coloring and stamping techniques. The punch includes flowers and leaf shapes that you can use as you please. Mix them together or layer them up to create a variety of flowers that will embellish any of your projects. You save 10% when your purchase the bundle. The Scalloped Contour Dies are my favorite new dies! (They are part of the Color & Contour Bundle or can be purchase separately.)

The scalloped edge borders in this set range in size, allowing you to decorate a card front or create scalloped labels for your sentiments. They’re fun to layer too! I will be sharing more projects with these dies!

I’m sure you can figure out how I decorated these bags but here’s a few tips. I inked the flower image in Evening Evergreen then masked the flowers (you can use tape, or post it notes to cover the flowers) before stamping on Basic White.
Stampin' Up! Flowers of Friendship stamp set using the masking technique - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Next I cut it out using the Scalloped Contour Die. I used the Soft Succulent Blends to color in the leaves. Each of the flowers were stamped then punched with the Flowers & Leaves Punch. (*I cut my cardstock to 1 3/4″ strips to make it easier to slide in and punch without a lot of wasted cardstock.)

To add a little depth to the flowers I used my stylus to roll the center of the flower to curl the petals. You could also use a bone folder to curl the ends but for smaller flowers I find this technique easier without creasing the cardstock.

The flowers were adhered with a Mini Glue Dot and I added In Color Jewels to the center of each for a little bling. The In Color Ribbon adds the finishing touch! (This ribbon is gorgeous and so easy to work with to tie a bow without adding bulk!) I popped up the scalloped panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here’s a look at each one.
