I love the gorgeous new Ombre Gift Bags which come in each of the new 2021-2023 In Colors! You can use these for treat or gift bags. I decorated my bags using the Scalloped Contour Dies and Flowers of Friendship Bundle.Stampin' Up! Flowers of Friendship Bundle -visit juststampin.com for inspiration and ordering information - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
The Flowers of Friendship Bundle includes the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set and the Flowers & Leaves Punch. The flower imagery of the set mixes simplicity and elegance. It’s perfect for different coloring and stamping techniques. The punch includes flowers and leaf shapes that you can use as you please. Mix them together or layer them up to create a variety of flowers that will embellish any of your projects. You save 10% when your purchase the bundle. The Scalloped Contour Dies are my favorite new dies! (They are part of the Color & Contour Bundle or can be purchase separately.)

The scalloped edge borders in this set range in size, allowing you to decorate a card front or create scalloped labels for your sentiments. They’re fun to layer too! I will be sharing more projects with these dies!

I’m sure you can figure out how I decorated these bags but here’s a few tips. I inked the flower image in Evening Evergreen then masked the flowers (you can use tape, or post it notes to cover the flowers) before stamping on Basic White.

Next I cut it out using the Scalloped Contour Die. I used the Soft Succulent Blends to color in the leaves. Each of the flowers were stamped then punched with the Flowers & Leaves Punch. (*I cut my cardstock to 1 3/4″ strips to make it easier to slide in and punch without a lot of wasted cardstock.)

To add a little depth to the flowers I used my stylus to roll the center of the flower to curl the petals. You could also use a bone folder to curl the ends but for smaller flowers I find this technique easier without creasing the cardstock.

The flowers were adhered with a Mini Glue Dot and I added In Color Jewels to the center of each for a little bling. The In Color Ribbon adds the finishing touch! (This ribbon is gorgeous and so easy to work with to tie a bow without adding bulk!) I popped up the scalloped panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here’s a look at each one.

It’s The Sentiment That Counts for the Pals Blog Hop

blog Hop badge Sept. 2020

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created projects where “It’s the Sentiment that Counts.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

During these challenging times it seems more important than ever to reach out to others to let them know you’re thinking of them. Many of my former coworkers, students, and teacher friends could use a little encouragement as they head back to school either virtually or in person. Even though today’s technology has made chalkboards a thing of the past, I wanted to create some fun chalkboard easel cards for teachers or students.Stampin' Up! In Good Taste thank you and inspirational chalkboard easel card card ideas for teachers or students - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I used In Good Taste Designer Series Paper for these Chalkboard Easel Cards. You could also use the wood grain pattern found in the 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Color Collections or make your own wood grain look with cardstock and the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder for some added texture.

Everyone loves to feel appreciated! I combined sentiments from several different stamp sets for my cards today. *You can see a complete list of products used below. Here’s a close up of each one.Stampin' Up! Harvest Hellos and Playful Alphabet Dies thank you card idea for a teacher -Jeanie Stark StampinUpStampin' Up! Free As A Bird, Ornate Thanks, and Good Morning Magnolia stamp sets were used to create this teacher appreciation card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUpStampin' Up! Massive Thanks chalkboard easel teacher thank you card idea- Jeanie Stark StampinUp
You could use a variety of sentiments for this card!  It would be great for a graduation, teacher birthday or retirement, congratulations, welcome new teacher, etc.! I bet you can think of someone to make/send these cards to.

*Tip: Chalkboard Technique – To get the chalkboard look I heat embossed the sentiment using Versamark and white embossing powder.  Then I used a sponge to dab some Whisper White Craft Ink on the black around the sentiment. Swirl in a circular motion as if you were erasing a chalkboard.

FYI…I have one of these chalk board easels that I used in my classroom.

Check back tomorrow for the complete tutorial and more ideas!
