Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise.
CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies!
- Cardstock – 5 1/4 x 5 1/2, 4 x 4
- Basic White Cardstock – 3 x 3 3/4, 4 x 3 1/2
- Designer Series Paper –3/4 x 5 1/4(L), 2 @ 3/4 x 4(H), extra for envelope (*optional)
- Focal piece
- Envelope
- Stamps
- Ink
- Adhesive
- Ribbon/Embellishments of choice (optional)
- Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
- *Optional – coloring tools, die cut/punch, Cut & Emboss Machine
CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/4 x 5 1/2 cardstock along the 5 1/4″ side @ 4 1/4. Fold & burnish. You are creating a horizontal card with the flap fold at the top.
CLUE #3
Adhere the two 3/4 x 4 pieces of DSP to the left and right sides of the card base leaving an even border across the top, bottom, and side.
CLUE #4
Adhere the 4 x 4 cardstock to the card base by opening the top flap of the card and lining up the bottom edge of the 4 x 4 cardstock with the bottom of the card. *Make sure the cardstock piece is in the center. Add adhesive JUST across the top of the 4 x 4 piece. Close the top flap of the card base and press to attach the 4 x 4 piece.
CLUE #5
Adhere the 3/4 x 5 1/4 piece of DSP across the top flap of the card base.
CLUE #6
Stamp/Emboss/Decorate the 3 x 3 3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock to create a focal piece.
Adhere to the front overlay so there is a 1/8 border on the bottom and sides.
CLUE #7
Stamp sentiment and or image on the 4 x 3 3/4 white cardstock and adhere inside the card.
CLUE #8
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments, etc.? Add that now.
CLUE #9
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
