Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!
*You will create a portrait style fun fold card.
CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies!
- Cardstock – 5 1/2 x 11
- Designer Series Paper – 2 @ 1 x 5 1/4, 2 1/2 x 5 1/4, 4 x 5 1/4, extra for envelope (*optional)
- Basic White Cardstock – 2 1/2 x 5 1/4, plus extra to stamp focal image/sentiment layer
- Envelope
- Stamps
- Ink
- Adhesive
- Ribbon/Embellishments of choice (optional)
- Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
- *Optional – coloring tools, die cut/punch, embossing folder, Cut & Emboss Machine
CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/2 x 11 cardstock @ 1 1/4, 4, 6 3/4. Fold & burnish the score lines (valley, mountain, valley fold). *The 1 1/4 section is the front of the card. The back of the card is 4 1/4.
CLUE #3
Add the 1 x 5 1/4 DSP piece to the front of the card. Then open the card and lay flat to adhere the second 1 x 5 1/4 DSP on the left so that it is on the back of that first piece.
CLUE #4
Adhere the 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 DSP to the next section.
CLUE #5
Stamp the 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 white cardstock and adhere next to the DSP on the inside of the card.
CLUE #6
Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP to the right side of the card.
CLUE #7
Fold the card and create a focal image for the front. Adhere the focal image to the second layer making sure to just add adhesive to that section so the card will open.
CLUE #8
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments, etc.? Add that now.
CLUE #9
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
