Pretty Pleats Fun Fold Cards with Cute As A Bug

Did you play along with my Mystery Monday Stampin’? If you followed the clues you would have created a Pretty Pleats Fun Fold Card similar to these.

Both of today’s cards showcase the Cute As A Bug Designer Series Paper.

Let’s take a closer look at each of today’s cards.

I love that this Stampin’ Up! DSP has a “cut-apart sheet” that you can use to create a quick & easy card front. I also added an embossed strip (All In A Row Embossing Folder) on the side to coordinate with the embossed panel I used on the inside.

I used several different stamp sets for the sentiments on this card: Sweet Bugs (on front of the card), Paper Tags (die cut with circle from Stitched Shapes Dies), and Beautiful Butterflies (inside panel). I love to mix and match sentiments to make each card personal!

I started with a 6×6 piece of DSP for the inside. Then I cut it to 4×6 and scored @ 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2 (according to the clues). I used the 2 x 6 piece that was left to decorate the envelope flap to coordinate.

It’s hard to see in the photo but I added a bee embellishment on the leaf by the sentiment.

For my second card I was inspired by a card design (From page 26 of the Spring Mini Catalog) for the front of my card..

Anyone else start singing “Dance to the Music” (by Sly and the Family Stone) when you saw these dancing bugs? LOL

Who knew these bugs could make an adorable wedding card?!!!

I added a 1/2″ strip of DSP across the front of my envelope to coordinate.
