Let's create a handmade card together- visit www.juststampin.com for clues and all the details-Jeanie Stark Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I have been so inspired by everyone’s creations!!! I am really enjoying this weekly challenge and hope you are too!

I am super excited about the fun fold card you will make this week! Yesterday I shared how you will have different options to choose. One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a surprise!

Yesterday I shared your first clue. If you missed that post (with the list of supplies), Click HERE for Clue #1.

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues:

CLUE #2
Score 5 3/8” x 4 1/4 ” cardstock along the long side @ 3/4″ from both ends. Fold and burnish score lines forward then lay flat.

CLUE #3
Cut 5 x 4 1/8 Designer Series Paper along the long side @ 5/8, 3 3/4. Adhere the first 5/8 strip to the left side on the front of cardstock. Adhere the 3 3/4 x 4 1/8 piece in the center (between the score lines). Adhere the other 5/8 strip on the right side on the front of cardstock. *Keep in order if your paper is directional/scenic.

CLUE #4
Score 7 x 2 1/2 cardstock along the long side @ 3/4, 2 1/2, 4 1/2, and 6 1/4. Cut strip in half at 1 1/4. Fold and burnish each strip along all score lines (mountain folds).

CLUE #5
Choose your option!
Option 1 – Cut 2 pieces of 4 3/4 x 1 (landscape) coordinating Designer Series Paper @ 1 1/2, 1 3/4, and 1 1/2. Adhere the 4 pieces measuring 1 x 1 1/2 to the outer front sections of the cardstock strips (from Clue #4). Adhere the 1 x 1 3/4 pieces to the middle sections of both strips. *Keep DSP in order if your paper is directional.

Option 2- Instead of designer series paper use same or coordinating cardstock and emboss both 4 3/4 x 1 pieces. Then cut and adhere to the cardstock strips the same as in option #1.

CLUE #6
Place both strips facing down and add adhesive to all 4 outer sections (the 3/4″ ends). Place card base on top of strips, also facing down. Line up card base between outer sections, with top strip lined up with top of card and bottom strip lined up with bottom of card base. Fold over outer sections and adhere to the back of the card base.

CLUE #7
Adhere the 2 strips of 5/8 x 4 1/8 designer series paper to the backside of card base along the outer sections. (This will cover where you folded the cardstock strips on the back.) Stamp image and/or sentiment on 3 3/4 x 4 1/8 Basic White cardstock and adhere to the backside of the card in the middle section.

CLUE #8
Create a focal piece for the front of your card. Choose your option!
Option 1- Focal piece would need to be at least 2 1/2″ tall and no taller than 4″.
From basic white (or other) cardstock, stamp, die cut/color/cut focal image. Adhere to front of card. Add adhesive to top and bottom of focal piece so it adheres to the top and bottom bands in the middle section only. *Make sure there is no adhesive in the opening in the middle of your card.

Option 2- (For smaller focal piece) Adhere 1 7/8 x 2 1/2 window sheet to the middle section on the front of your card. *Put 4 Mini Glue Dots in the corners of the acetate and adhere behind the top and bottom strips in the middle section. Die cut, stamp, punch, cut focal piece and adhere to window sheet with Mini Glue Dots.

CLUE #9
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? A sentiment?
Add that now.

CLUE #10
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.

Have fun creating! I can’t wait to see what you create! Take a photo of your card and send as an attachment to my email (j.stark@goeaston.net). Feel free to reach out if you need help or have questions.

Check back tomorrow to see my mystery cards revealed.

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!
