Creating A Shaped Card using Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #268

I love to make fun fold cards and this one is quick & easy using the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle!

The inspiration for today’s card came from this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge board.

I chose to go down the middle: Shape Card, Free, Ink Blending. The shape card was easy to create using the Beautiful Butterflies Dies.

Here are the details to create today’s card:

Supplies:
Stamp Set & Dies: Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies Bundle
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Strawberry Slush, Flirty Flamingo, Pretty in Pink
Paper: Stampin’ Up! Notecards & Envelopes, Basic White & Strawberry Slush cardstock
Tools & Accessories: Blending Brushes, Wink of Stella, Silver 1/8″ Trim, 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine

Measurements:
Card base: 5 x 7 score @ 3 1/2
Cardstock (Strawberry Slush): 3 1/2 x 5 Die cut butterfly and 2 body pieces
White Cardstock: scrap to stamp & die cut sentiment

Directions:

1. Using the large butterfly die from the Beautiful Butterflies Dies, line the marks on the top side of the die on the fold of the card and die cut the butterfly shaped card.
2. Using Strawberry Slush ink, stamp the butterfly wing stamp on all four wings of the butterfly on the card front.
3. Use a blending brush and Pretty in Pink ink and lightly ink around the edges on the card front.
4. Stamp the small dotted stamp in Flirty Flamingo ink randomly around the butterfly wings.
   
5. Die cut one of the detailed large butterfly die cuts using Strawberry Slush cardstock. Use a blending brush to to add some Strawberry Slush ink to the outside of the wings.  Adhere to the card base. *I just added adhesive in the middle .
6. Die cut out the “body/middle” of the butterfly twice. Adhere one to the top of the card as shown. Cut the head off the second one and adhere over the top of the butterfly to elongate the body.
   
7. Brush Wink of Stella on the detailed butterfly to add a little glimmer.
8. Tie a bow with the ribbon and adhere to card with a mini glue dot.
9. Stamp the sentiment and cut it out with the die. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals on each end. Embellish with flat pearls.
   
10. Stamp sentiment inside or add a handwritten message. Stamp butterfly on the front of the envelope to coordinate.
