I so appreciate the friends in my life! When I saw the Every Chapter stamp set I knew I had to have it! It’s perfect for my book club friends and others who just love to read like I do!
This card is quick & easy…just stamp and color! I love to color with my Stampin’ Blends! I find it so relaxing!
Here’s the simple card details:
- Card Base (Poppy Parade): 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
- Basic White: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, cut 2
- Basic Black:3 3/4 x 5, cut 2
Stamp the image using Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends (or watercolor pencils). Adhere to Basic Black cardstock. Use Foam Adhesive Sheets (or Stampin’ Dimensionals) to adhere to card base. Add Rhinestone Jewels to the eyeglasses for a little bling. I repeated the black and white layers on the inside and stamped the perfect sentiment from Positive Thoughts.
I love to coordinate the envelopes…it’s like a sneak peek at what’s inside. I stamped just the teacup and glasses on the front of the envelope.
This card would be perfect to give with a book (and handmade bookmark) for a friend’s birthday! I made this card as a thank you for a friend who gave me some books to read.
I’m always looking for the next good book to read. Have you read any good books lately? Leave a comment below and let’s start a list of good books to read! Here’s a few of my recent favorites…
Have a great day!

I loved Malibu Rising too. Some favorites – The Midnight Library, The Kitchen Front, The House in the Cerulean Sea, Cloud Cukoo Land, The Last Summer at Golden Hotel, The Stranger in the Lifeboat, and anything by Melanie Summers. I absolutely love reading (check out http://www.seasidebooknook.com).
I love the card’s sentiment built in to the stack of books. That is so you! Adding the stamp to the envelope is perfect. Enjoy your day!
Great books! But more importantly it’s a GREAT card!!!
The best part of finally retiring was having time to read in depth (as well as crafting whenever I want!). I’m a Tana French fan—am making my way through the Dublin Murder Squad series at the moment. Brilliant writing and plotting, if graphic. A couple stories really rattled me—couldn’t stop thinking or talking about them. (My friends just roll their eyes…!)
Love the card—superb coloring, BTW. So happy to see another post from you~hope all is well.
Being a librarian, I love this stamp and love your coloring of it. TFS I’m re-reading some of the JD Robb In Death series while waiting on the new one and enjoy an easy romcom often too.
Oh how fun! I am sending a book to a friend today, I think I need to add this card I made at another demo’s house. She was an archivist librarian so she loves anything book related. I won’t sign it in case she wants to pass it on to some of her librarian friends. I am into cozy mysteries to take to bed at night. I love recurring characters in series too. Your card is so bright and cheery. Love it!
