The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of color. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on color trends across different markets and industries. When they see changes happening, they review our color spectrum to ensure that we remain consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the 2018 Color Revamp!
There are still four color collections, each with ten colors. There is also a new color group called Basics which includes 3 colors: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White. There are no changes to the In Color program. Every year we will continue to introduce five new In Colors that will be available for the ensuing two years.
We also have previous In Colors that are returning and joining our core colors:
On May 31, 2018, thirteen colors (pictured below) are retiring.
- Always Artichoke
- Chocolate Chip
- Elegant Eggplant
- Island Indigo
- Marina Mist
- Perfect Plum
- Pink Pirouette
- Rose Red
- Soft Sky
- Tangerine Tango
- Tempting Turquoise
- Wild Wasabi
- Wisteria Wonder
In addition, the 2016-2018 In Colors are retiring:
*Please note that while Flirty Flamingo is retiring as an In Color, it will continue to be available as part of our core color collection.
In addition to new colors, Stampin’ Up! also redesigned our ink pads. The case is a new, more intuitive design and they’ve improved the formula of the ink, as well! (*FYI…You certainly do not need to replace all your current ink pads. The new ink pads will just be a little different design and slightly different size. They are slimmer and stackable. You will be able to purchase just the new colors without having to buy them all.) Here’s a look at the new stamp case.
I got my preorder the other day and I absolutely love the new colors!!! I can’t even pick a new favorite just yet (though they had me at Merlot)! I know my daughter is going to be thrilled with 2 new purples! Is there a new color that you are excited about? The new colors will be available in the 2018 Annual Catalog (available June 1st). Would you like to get your hands on these colors before then? Check back later this week to find out how! Or you could always sign up to be a demonstrator and preorder the new stuff for yourself! Contact me for more information!
Have a great day! It’s like the first day of school for me all over again. I’ve been unable to work for the last 3 months; however, after much Physical Therapy, I will be heading back into the classroom half days for now. I can’t wait to see my kids again!!!

So happy that you can return to your kiddos and hope that you don’t get too exhausted. I know they’ll be crazy with excitement to see you again. Have a great day~
They had me at Merlot too! LOL! So exciting returning to your little ones. I am sure they are as excited as you are. Have a fun day!
Hi Jeanie, I am liking the yellows, Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody, I think they will go very nice with all the blues. How do you like the new cases?
I am not sure what which is my favorite color of the new ones but I am glad that Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron are back! So many new colors are making my head spin! I can’t wait to see the new ink pads. I used my Tranquil Tide this morning and it jumped the track and I ended up with ink all over my hands before I left for an appt at the hospital. The nurse laughed and said, well I know you must have been making cards this morning! But I got it back together and finally made the card after two attempts of smudges of ink. I used to like the bravo burgundy so I guess I will really like the merlot too.
So, how was the “first day of school” again? So glad you are doing well. I bet they are glad to have you back and working part time will be good for awhile too.
