I had the most wonderful weekend in Hartford, Connecticut with my stamping friends. I was so excited to get to meet Nancy Farrell. Nancy has been following my blog right from the beginning and always brings a smile to my face with her comments. This was her first Stampin Up! event and she fit right in laughing and joking with the rest of us! She also shared a cool tip that she does which prevents her photopolymer stamps from staining. When she gets a new photopolymer stamp set, she removes the plastic on top and adheres the back plastic piece (with the stamps attached) to the inside of the stamp case. Then she inks up the stamp set with VersaMark and lets it dry. When she wants to stamp using ink, it cleans up without leaving a stain! Brilliant! Thanks Nancy!
I would love for others to join our team! We have so much fun at these Stampin’ Up! events and online chats! It doesn’t matter if you are local or long distance as we are connected through cyber space. Everyone shares ideas and helps one another out. Most of the team are hobby demos and it is a great “sisterhood”. I told you how we rented a house (it was actually a mansion with 7 bedrooms) so we could spend more time together and stamp, cook, chat, swap cards, etc. I named us “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Stamps”. *I’ll be sharing our swap cards and more this week! Here’s a few photos from the weekend.

By the way, I LOVE that picture of you Nancy!!!!
Me too! Thanks for face timing me yesterday!!! It will be our next best thing to being together!
Looks like a fun time! Thanks to you and Nancy for the tip about the photopolymer stamps. I have tried so many things to keep them from staining and nothing seems to work. Will give this technique a try. Do we need to reink with Versa Mark after using and cleaning each time the stamp is used? Thank you.
I don’t think you need to reink each time. I have not tried this yet but will once my new stamps arrive tomorrow. I usually don’t mind the black stain on the photopolymer stamps, I just don’t like the red ink stains. In the past I would ink mine in black first so I could see them better and not worry about getting the red ink stains. Mine are all stained black. I’m excited to try Nancy’s tip!
No, just that one time. 🙂
Oh my gosh, it was SOOOOO much fun!!! I could not think of a better way to celebrate a birthday!!!! Love Nancy’s tip!!
Thanks so much for the polymers tip. I love your post and your creativity ! Looks like you had an awsome time and what a great house to be able to stay in and stamp too. I’m so jealous.

So glad I got to say “Hi” to you all, if only for a couple minutes, at the end of the day on Saturday in Hartford. It was so much fun to see your table full of Rock Stars! You ladies are THE BEST.
Thanks for the reminder about inking up stamps in Versamark first before using. I never thought to let them dry; I just used them almost immediately. Makes for a crisp image, but Duh! This will be a game changer! No staining?! Woohoo! Can’t wait to play when my new toys arrive. Thanks, Jeanie and Nancy, for upping our game!
Looks like fun! Love the house! Can’t wait to see what you create with your new stamps. Aren’t the new colors fantastic?! I’ve used Nancy’s tip before and it does work. TFS.
Hi Jeanie
Thank you for sharing Nancy’s tip regarding inking up with versamark ink on photopolymer stamps before using them. Do you have to do this just once or every time you stamp to help eliminate staining?
Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Rose.
Just once when you first ink them. Let it dry before stamping.
I guess I don’t let the Versa Mark dry – I will try that. I do like to have the black image on there so you can see the stamping. Looks like you had a fun time. Were you still working on your swap cards – looks like them in the photo. What a grand looking house to rent! Glad everyone got back safe and sound.
