A Sneak Peek at Year of Cheer

Joy card made using products from the Stampin Up Year of Cheer Suite. For inspiration and more visit www.juststampin.com

The Year of Cheer Suite has gorgeous Specialty Designer Series Paper, foil snowflakes, washi tape, embellishments, and more to spread cheer throughout the year. Check out this video for a sneak peek at the products and sample projects you can make!

The stamp set in this suite, Cheers to the Year, is so versatile! You can use it for wintry projects as well as wedding. The round designs coordinate with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies and can add a special touch to a card for any occasion.

I cut one of the foil snowflakes to place behind the banner on my card.  I heat embossed the sentiment in silver and added a silver embellishment with some baker’s twine. The foil designs in the Year of Cheer Specialty Series Designer Series Paper take center stage. I added a strip of washi tape on each end. This simple card is featured on page 36 in the Holiday Catalog along with other great projects ideas.

Yesterday was our last day in Atlanta. We spent the day enjoying the beautiful Botanical Gardens. It’s hard to leave but knowing my daughter is so happy here makes it a little easier.  I wish her a “Year of Cheer” with much Joy in her life! She certainly brings joy to ours!!! Here’s a few photos from our time in Atlanta.

We put our time in the hotel to good use! It was a family affair assembling the swatch books!

My husband and I are headed to South Carolina today for the big solar eclipse viewing.

Have a great day!

  1. Jeanie I literally gasped when I saw your card. This is my absolute favorite suite in the holiday catalog. I tend to pick up on little things like your use of the gold snowflake, so unique. This card is stunning. Love the other photos btw especially your daughter and her room mate by the “Ramblin’ Wreck”.

  2. A big cheer for your card! Wow, I don’t remember seeing the card in the catalog but that is nothing new. I just received mine Saturday and was focusing on other goodies. I do remember seeing the set and thinking – maybe the B or C list for the JOY and the snowflakes. I do have some snowflake stamps so I could recreate this but wait, this is DSP? I didn’t think you would line up the snowflakes like they are and where was the other snowflake from. Yeppir, it pays to read the fine print, well your blog post anyway! I will be CASEing this but more of a random sprinkle of snowflakes and maybe gold and white Baker’s twine to hold on the embelishment? Don’t know but it is sure a beauty!

I had to laugh at the family affair in assembling the swatches! I still smile at the photo of John Itell and the dogs on the dining room chairs as he announces this is Rose Red with Rosie all aglow with a color named after her. We need a Milo brown now! Have a safe trip home and hope your viewing glasses are the right ones. We are having some much needed rain so it will be cloudy here but that is ok for me.
