I love to read and often give books as gifts. This is the perfect card for just about anyone! It’s a great card for when you want to give a little something to a coworker or friend. The bookmark could be used in a novel, catalog, recipe book, magazine, journal, or Bible.

I used the beautiful Mixed Florals Bundle on this bookmark card.

I created tic tac toe going down the middle: free, stripes, white heat embossing.

FYI…

My younger sister received some devastating health news this week. I am currently out of town to be with her. I wanted to give you a heads up and put in a request for prayers and positive thoughts. I will update this post with the card details when I can.

UPDATED 6/23

Cutting Dimensions:

Night of Navy Card Base = 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Night of Navy strip = 4 1/4″ x 1 1/2″, score at 1 1/4″ on long side, fold
Night of Navy layer = 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
Night of Navy = die cut Leaf from Artistic Dies for inside left, punch oval for sentiment
DSP on card base = 5 1/4″ x 4″,
DSP on inside left = 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
DSP for envelope = 2×6 (with 1/4 x 6 Night of Navy strip)
Basic White inside = 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
DSP on front = 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ (Embossed with Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder)

Directions:

Fold Night of Navy strip on the score line. Add liquid glue (or other strong adhesive) to the 1 1/4 side and adhere to card base as shown below.
Adhere DSP layer on top of card base.
Emboss DSP for front of card with Countryside Blossom embossing folder. Adhere to Night of Navy layer.
Add liquid glue to Navy strip as shown and adhere to card front. *Make sure not to add glue all the way to the left edge.
Stamp sentiment navy cardstock with Versamark ink and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. Punch with Double Oval Punch and adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp inside sentiment and images on Basic White with Night of Navy ink and adhere.
Die cut leaf from Artistic Dies and adhere to DSP on inside of card.
Wrap ribbon around navy strip and tie and simple knot on front.
Add Rhinestone Basic Jewel to flower on front of card.
Adhere navy strip and DSP to envelope flap and trim to fit.
