My husband loves March! I’d like to believe it is because it’s my birthday month but, truth be told, I know it’s because of March Madness with basketball! LOL I happen to love March too but, not for basketball! I love that it starts to feel like Spring and new beginnings. March is special to me for several reasons…my birthday is just one. This March marks my 5th anniversary with Stampin’ Up! I am so happy I made the decision to join this amazing stamping family! I have met so many new friends and enjoy spending time with “my people”! Heartfelt Blooms is a beautiful, photographic bouquet in a gorgeous vintage look. A one-step stunner for all your projects! The new Distinktive stamp lays down the ink at different opacities, giving the finished image more depth. I love that there are 3 great sentiments for different occasions. When I make a card I usually stamp more than one. I like to play around with different color combos, sentiments, etc. I chose Night of Navy with Bermuda Bay and Fresh Fig with Blushing Bride. I can’t wait to make more! I also played around with adding pearls or not. I like it both ways so I guess it depends whether or not you want to add the extra postage. This is such a clean & simple card and quick & easy to make! You can use it for many different occasions!

Here’s the measurements:

Card Base 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.

Layer 1: 3 3/4 x 5

Whisper White Stamped Layer: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4

I adhered the layered image to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love to stamp my envelopes to match. It really adds that extra special touch. Get in the habit of stamping your envelope when you stamp your card and it takes no time at all!

Welcome to my ABC “Sale-A-Bration” Series! This series showcases products from the 2018 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochures. Today I’m sharing a stamp set from the Occasions catalog that is fun to color, Flying Home.

I have a soft spot for birdhouses. My dad enjoyed woodworking and I remember the day he made birdhouses for my sisters and me. We painted the birdhouses and then picked out trees in our backyard to hang them. We couldn’t wait to see who would have a bird living in their birdhouse first. (I can’t remember who did so it probably wasn’t me. LOL)

I enjoyed a little trip down memory lane as I colored and assembled my card. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out with the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I cut a scallop circle from calypso coral using the Layering Circles Framelits. I colored with Stampin’ Blends choosing colors from the DSP. The card base is a 4 1/4 square with a layer of 4 x 4 Petal Garden Designer Series Paper. The shimmer ribbon is FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration and comes in a pack of 3 different colors. The finished card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and fits in a standard envelope.
