Ornate Garden Mini Notebooks

What’s keeping you busy these days? I’ve been staying home and staying connected with friends and family. (Thank goodness for technology and crafts!) I learned how to use zoom the other day and had happy hour with 10 of my girlfriends. I am definitely spending more time in my craft room.  Stamping has always been my stress relief! Now, more than ever, I am trying to send more cards to help brighten someone’s day.

Today’s project showcases the new Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I made these adorable mini notebooks for my customer gifts this month.

I love these beautiful floral patterns! They coordinate perfectly with the Ornate Style Stamp Set.

I stamped the flowers in Early Espresso then used my Stampin’ Blends to color. Each notebook is a little different to coordinate with the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper. Here’s a close up of each.

The sentiment is from the Floral Phrases stamp set. It has a lot of great sentiments and one I find myself using quite often! I bought these mini notebooks at the Dollar Tree. They are quick and easy to decorate! I cut the DSP 3 x 4 1/2 to start. It’s so easy to just glue the DSP to the cover then trim the edge with scissors. I write notes all the time and keep one of these in my purse.  I use mine for grocery lists and my daily “to do” list. It could even be a mini journal, garden notebook, or prayer book. I wish I had one when I was teaching to jot down the funny things kids say! These make great little gifts to give. I made several for friends for Christmas with a simple monogram.

Do you have a favorite notebook from today? I’d love to hear from you.  Leave a comment letting me know how you’ve been spending your time these days and I’ll pick a random winner to gift one of these mini notebooks.

Have a great day! Stay home! Stay safe! Stay well!

Little Ladybug Note Card & Gift Package

Do you believe ladybugs bring good luck? I was told that as a child and I remember looking through the grass trying to find them. This could be your lucky day because you don’t have to look in the grass to find some cute ladybugs! The Little Ladybug Stamp Set is available during Sale-A-Bration and it’s free when you place a party order or personal order of $300.  It’s a great time to gather your family and friends and have fun creating together!  Contact me if you would like to schedule a workshop and earn this adorable stamp set.

Earlier this week Stampin’ Up! released coordinating products to go with select Sale-A-Bration products. The ladybug Dies are one of my favorites!

I couldn’t wait to play with the Little Ladybug stamp set and coordinating Ladybug Dies.

Stampin' Up! Little Ladybug note card featuring the Ladybug dies - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I love to recognize and reward my team! One of my team members recently promoted and is also celebrating her one year anniversary with Stampin’ Up! I am so proud of her! I thought this sentiment from the Little Ladybug stamp set was perfect for the occasion. (This would also be a great sentiment for graduation cards or a coworkers promotion!)

Would you believe I used the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes to create this card?  I simply cut a piece of cardstock to cover the front of the card. Here’s all the details:

Materials & Measurements

  • Whisper White Note Card & Envelope
  • Real Red cardstock: 3 1/2 x 5 (for card front)
  • Golden Honey DSP- Striped Pattern: 1 1/4 x 3 1/2
  • Whisper White: 3 x 5 to cut Stitched So Sweetly Die, 1 x 1 1/2 to stamp sentiment, scraps to stamp ladybug and flower die cut
  • Basic Black cardstock: 1 1/8 x 1 5/8 for sentiment layer
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Stampin’ Blends in Real Red, Gray Granite, Old Olive, and So Saffron
  • Pool Party Ink and sponge dauber
  • Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals

Directions

  • Fold and burnish note card along the score line. Adhere the Real Red cardstock to the front of the card.
  • Adhere DSP strip across the middle.
  • Die cut 3 x 5 Whisper White with the Stitched So Sweetly Die. Then emboss with the Ladybug Die to create the “flying” stitched line.
  • Stamp the flower image on the die cut along the bottom right. Color stem and leaves with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
  • Stamp the flower and the ladybug on scrap white, color with Stampin’ Blends, and die cut with the Ladybug Dies.
  • Sponge around the flower with Pool Party ink using a sponge dauber.
  • Adhere flower with glue dots and ladybug with Stampin’ Dimensionals.Stampin' Up! Little Ladybug note card featuring the Ladybug dies - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
  • Stamp sentiment with Momento ink and layer with black cardstock. Adhere to card.
  • Stamp and emboss envelope to coordinate. *Put a piece of scrap paper inside the envelope when you color the ladybug so it won’t bleed through.

I enjoy making cards to coordinate with gifts. Can you guess this gift?

Stampin' Up! Little Ladybug note card featuring the Ladybug dies - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

If you guessed the Little Ladybug Stamp Set you are correct! To “wrap” the stamp set, I cut a piece of  Real Red cardstock to measure 7 1/2 x 11 and scored along the long side at 5 1/8 from each end.  Then I used a sponge dauber and black ink to create the spots. I folded along the score lines, placed the stamp set inside and wrapped it with Black Satin Ribbon. Quick & easy!

I love to make gift tags for all my gifts. It takes no time at all making three at a time! Here’s a look at some of the different projects I made.

Halloween treat ideas using the Tags Tags Tags Bundle by Stampin' Up! - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

These tags are perfect for treat bags and boxes. You can use the ready made Tiny Treat Boxes and Pillow Boxes from Stampin’ Up! or make your own little treat bag from a piece of 6 x 6 DSP like I did below.

Christmas bag idea using the Tags Tags Tags Bundle from Stampin' Up! - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

This little bag is quick & easy to make! Score a piece of 6 x 6 DSP at 1 1/2 and 4 1/2 on one side then score the other side at 2 1/4 and 3 3/4. I used the Wrapped in Plaid 6 x 6 Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Fold on the score lines then cut along the score lines and trim as shown below.  Adhere with Tear & Tape or Liquid Glue for a strong hold.

I pinched the sides and punched a hole at the top with a hole punch.  I thread the ribbon through the tag and bag  and secured with a bakers twine. I added the jingle bell before tying a bow. The adorable tag is stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends.

I had fun sponging the Halloween tags! If you look on page 56 in the Holiday Catalog you will see where I got my inspiration! The catalog is full of so many great ideas be sure to check them out and CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) away! This tag was sponged to look like the candy corn treat enclosed!

Stampin' Up! Tiny Treat Box idea using Tags Tags Tags Bundle for Halloween - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

The Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon wraps it all up for a a nice presentation!

The Trip of Tags Dies has extra little dies for the holidays like these jack-0-lanterns I used on the tag for my pillow box.

Stampin' Up! Kraft Pillow Box Halloween gift idea using Tags Tags Tags Bundle - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

How cute are these?! There’s a snowflake for winter and hearts for Valentine’s or other “lovely” projects! You’ll be seeing more of these soon as I have been having fun creating all kinds of projects! The pillow boxes are great for enclosing gift cards, treats, or small gifts.

These tags make sweet & simple 3 x 3 note cards too.  I made this adorable Halloween one to enclose with the Paper Pumpkin treat boxes I sent my daughter for her dorm residents. She loves books so this pattern from the Monster Bash  Designer Series Paper was perfect for her!

Stampin' Up! Tags Tags Tags Bundle and Monster Bash Designer Series Paper 3 x 3 Halloween note card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I popped up the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the raven from the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes to cover up the hole at the top of the die. My daughter is very familiar with ravens from the Tower of London. (I wouldn’t get that close!!!)
